Certainly seems like something is afoot in the background. A large seller has been offloading for a week or so at least now.

Sneller or not, I suppose shareholders just have to hope that whoever is selling is doing so for personal investment reasons rather than because they have some inside information on how the current drilling is progressing.

Yes I’ve noticed that too. Some big sells at 56p and 56.5p as well last week.

The pre-drill estimates were 27-32 days depending on which source you look at, and the spud RNS says 5 weeks (35 days). We are now on day 31 so should be nearing the business end of this well if it’s going to plan. It’s worth remembering that delays can and do happen though so estimates are not always right.

It was March 2019 when the parties initially filed their costs (nearly 3 years ago now). You would think the bulk of that would have already been considered as the tribunal were close to finishing their work last July. So it’s just the additional costs for the 5 page October filing that the tribunal need to consider. You would hope that wouldn’t take particularly long although you never know. Other than that, nothing has changed since last summer so they shouldn’t have any other deliberations left to do.

It often amazes me how discussion boards for stocks & shares are the most childish on the internet. The Rockhopper ones are particularly bad - ADVFN seems more like an asylum than a forum. I looked in briefly and left immediately, and this one has its moments as well. Is it money that does it to people? Why do adults (and I assume everybody investing is an adult) act like children when posting on here? Surely they aren’t like this in real life. It’s bizarre.

This drop over the past couple of days, and especially today, is a bit disconcerting. Mainly the large trades which are the opposite of what was happening before. Let’s hope nothing went wrong in the Falkland Islands or bad news on the OM case has leaked.

Hopefully just a blip but it would be nice to have a positive update soon.

I think Rockhopper are sticking with “Q1” for now despite Navitas’ statement saying January. I guess they are erring on the side of caution - better to underpromise and overdeliver. Nobody likes missed deadlines!

Could be anticipation that the Navitas deal is on track to be signed up this month? Perhaps an update on their development plans if they’ve managed to make any progress on that front. Just guessing but I don’t think OM news would leak.

The only thing I would say is that the Italian government has challenged jurisdiction before and lost, but subsequently had a ruling in their favour on merit. So it does not 'necessarily' mean Rockhopper have won, but of course we hope so.

We might also assume that the tribunal has had ample time to consider the initial filings on costs, and the latest submissions simply cover the additional work on the jurisdiction issue. Whilst we really can't tell for sure, it would seem logical that the tribunal should be in a position to issue an award (be it positive or negative) in the not too distant future. I would guess by the end of Feb we should know for sure, but you never know with these lot!
