I think shale will struggle to attract the levels of investment it has received before. Remember it takes an enormous amount of investment just to maintain production levels given the decline rates. I think we will see shale oil production drop and then level out, not the exponential growth we’ve seen in the past.

Nice to see £1 - back to IPO price which I think given what’s happened to the oil market since then is a bargain.

It would be nice to think this market carnage is playing into LBE’s hands just at the right time.

Not bad on a day when oil has tanked and most other oil companies are down though, so not complaining!

I topped up a few days ago - I overdid it when the pride started jumping in June but my average is still under £1 so still slightly under the IPO price.

It’s a good point re Biden, and of course there may be ‘vaccine’ news this year which would be a boost for the oil price.

I think they are in a time limited period to get a deal (or a few deals) done, and it won’t last forever. I think now is a great time to pounce if they can, and I really hope they secure something by the end of October.

I also noted the wording here Mozza. It doesn’t say cancelled or fallen through but on hold: they might still be expecting them to happen but are also looking at other opportunities in the meantime.
