DT still have just over £30M of the initial £75M left in the buyback pot.

I always though DM was a good guy, but like all Directors/BOD's/project leaders/public face of the company he got a 'bad press' when things didn't quite go how they should have or how investors wanted them to.

Sadly, things don't always go how we want them to just because we want them to, there are too many influencing factors for life to ever be that simple.

Better luck this time, looking good so far.

587,457 new shares is a tiny dilution, makes no real difference to the overall share issue.

Worth circa £41K @ 7p a share - guessing the supplier will be hoping they are soon worth a lot more than that?

... is why they spent the last year, a whole 12 months, NOT buying the rig that was up to the job and passed the audit a year ago?

Is this the rig that was stuck in Kenya and there were red tape issues getting it shipped?

What changed?

Hard to fathom why they didn't source and buy their own rig right from the start, shame they had to spend/waste millions to get to this point.

Hope it all works out from here on in.

The RNS did say approx. 30 days to TD so could be earlier if all went well, or longer if they hit any problems; how much earlier or later only MB and the operator know so we will have to be patient for the news, hopefully oil and not dust.

I for one am praying it's oil.

I am so fed up with posters promising 9p, 10p, £20 or whatever on BB's, in my experience so far this hasn't been a reality.

Only a short time ago we were being promised 15p or more when LP was granted; it has been, where is 15p?

Similarly KEFI Gold (sorry) was 'promised' to reach 1.5p (from around 0.9p) on TK sign off; we finally got the TK sign off, now the SP is 0.55p.

My point is, posters know nothing for a fact, the markets decide the SP and nothing we do or say influences that.

Matad may well have 'plenty more RNS's to come' but that doesn't mean they will all be good news, and even if they are it doesn't necessarily mean the SP will reach 27p/58p or anything like that.

Nothing is guaranteed. Ever. Apart from the obvious.

Bracing myself now for a barrage of abuse, inevitably.

It appears to me that HE1 have been stabbed in the back by Noble and now face increased costs; the whole point of the rig share was to reduce costs and secure a rig.

It seems that Noble had a back-up plan and a deadline for the SOFORI rig they weren't prepared to go over, unless they have managed to secure another rig (Marriott) in a couple of weeks, something HE1 haven't managed to do in 2 years!

HE1 have been caught napping by the look of it, and any chance they have of securing a rig anytime soon look slim to say the least; they really should have had a firm back-up but doesn't seem to me they did.

We are all going to be in for a long - and probably silent - wait for any good news here.

Seems like slow progress, maybe holders are reluctant to give up their shares unless the SP increases? If that were the case shouldn't it create a vacuum and push the SP up, or will he SP only rise if LDG can get their hands on enough shares?

Or will any increase generated by the buyback be negated my market conditions and market sentiment? Hmm....

And how are LDG's investments performing?

I still think DBay will wait until the SP rises - if it rises - and then offload another big chunk of their holding in LDG like they did last time. Time will tell.

Eyes open but no cash to invest at the moment 🤔

SP seems to be heading steadily back down towards £3 this morning, if it dips below that I will seriously have to consider freeing up some funds to by back in.

Problem is I would have to crystalize a paper loss on something else to do so, and no guarantee the play would work.

Some people eh? So unreliable! At least when I covered the previous buyback I stuck with it and updated on an almost daily basis; I would have covered this one too but as not currently invested didn't feel the need.

Oh good, another presentation!

This seems to be immediately after the AGM so hopefully Harry will have some positive and definitive news for us, and hopefully help lift the SP back to where it should be so some of us can recover our paper losses and decide whether to hold or exit at that point.

Not holding my breath though.....

The SP needs to get to 2.4p (or higher) for 5 consecutive days to trigger the warrants, discounted to 1.6p.

That's 4 x where we are now.

0.58 to sell on HL now, unbelievable to think we are back where we were last October.

Does anyone truly know where all the millions or tens of millions have gone over the years? I'm beginning to wish I'd just bought a metal detector and headed for Western Australia, it would have been cheaper, less stressful, probably more successful - ANY find there would have been more successful than Kefi! - and quite possibly more fun.

Still, now we wait & hope for eventual TK sign off or SA success as there is little more most of us can do without crystallizing a loss.

Never makes any sense to me.

Hopefully the SP will rise steadily over the next 30 days as Velociraptor drill progresses and we approach TD.

Personally I think I will watch carefully and try to de-risk on the way up, depending on if/when we get LP, but if we don't get that before TD will defo de-risk, couldn't afford to see this go to 2p or less on a duster.
