Valuation proposal submitted as requested. See Docket 1899 and attachments. We are now in Judge's hands.
I need to prepare the hearing now, with the team and with the lawyers. Will not be too communicative today.
Let's hope for a good outcome...
These and several other options to consider AFTER and IF we get the Shareholders Committee approved. As to how much, don't forget we are at zero now. So we would obviously aim to get higher than this.
Hexam, I am touched by your constant deep concerns. To put your mind at ease, we have that "mistake" properly covered. Has it ever occurred to you that if one points to a strategically deliberate inaccuracy, the other party will have to rebutte it, thus keeping the ball rolling and prolonging the process? Homework for you over the weekend.
You are too kind Insider. One hand can never clap alone. Merits go to Kamal, Nicholas Caruk, Paul Harper, and to our entire support group. Also special thanks to our anonymous valuation “expert”, who is also a member of this forum.
We will do our best !
...then why don't you just run to your broker and sell. Just stop depressing people who need to hold.
We are now 120 people, holding 28 million shares, i.e. 2.72% of Cineworld free float. The registry is open and continues to build up. Keep them coming, we will use this in Court.
Dear all,
instead of - sorry top say it - waste you time in pointless debates with zero added value, maybe you will invest that time to put your shoulder to our preparation for the Friday hearing of the Motion to approve a Shareholders Committee. Any ideas, arguments, angles which would support our plead in Court could make the difference and tip the scale in our favor. You can now be a direct part of this.
When sharing your ideas please focus exclusively on:
1. Why would a Shareholders Committee be required and beneficial?
2. Why do we think shareholders were not treated fairly?
3. Why do we think Cineworld is not "hopelessly insolvent"
Do not enter other debates, i.e. valuation, Plan, RSA, etc - as these will be attacked later on if we get a Committee.
You can write to me here or use my very-well-know e-mail address :)
Thank you.
We have today taken one big step forward. Collective gratitude should go to Nicholas Caruk and Paul Harper for their contribution to the latest efforts, to Kamal Tiwari for his valuable early contributions and to other 100 holders (known to me, anonymous to you), which have send endorsement emails to our group and confirmed they will support the common actions and interest. We will not stop here!
Dear all, we have hired the legal firm and they will represent us in the hearings ahead on June 16 and June 28. They will also submit a supplement to our Motion for approving a Shareholders Committee. Thanks to the 90 of you who have sent emails confirming their support for the lawyers engagement letter, this could not have been done without you. The list is still open and we hope more of you will send their name and owned shares to support future actions of our group and of our legal counsel 😊
You can send your ideas even on my email if you want to keep this private.
How is your stock specifically valued? That is, is it dictated by the value of the daily trading public markets or are there other factors involved?
Please provide a stock certificate issued under your free float stock. We would like to see what the terms look like as far rights afforded to stock holders and if those rights have been expressly violated in anyway. Would be nice to be able to cite to a document as opposed to just general allegations that the controlling shareholders breached a duty owed to your group in some way.
We are now 58, holding 1.65% and the numbers are growing. Thank you!
FYI - tomorrow 12:00 CST time, we will have a TelCo with the law firm to discuss details and confirm the letter.
we have received confirmation to sign the law firm engagement letter from 46 shareholders, holding a total of 1.38% of cineworld. while this is a good progress, it might not be enough to push this process through. we need more confirmations. this could very well be our only and last train. let's not miss it, otherwise we will only have ourselves to blame. i remind you to send a confirmation that you will endorse the engagement letter, to my email address i.grama********** (i dot grama at yahoo dot com), indicating your name and the amount of shares you own. thank you!
Sure thing Steve. Your holding has not changed I reckon?
dear all, we have started engagement with a law firm in texas. it is barron & newburger, p.c., one of the top texas-based bankruptcy boutique firms in the us. they have significant experience representing committees in bankruptcy cases and have practiced before the presiding judge marvin isgur in numerous matters, including mediating and taking cases to trial. we are trying to get them engaged and do so free of charge and would only be compensated by the debtor itself were the motion granted, and their firm selected as counsel for the committee. we will get an engagement letter from them soon, and we need as many shareholders as possible to sign it. we have started to collect names in a list. details will follow when we receive this letter. in the meanwhile, please send your intention to sign the engagement letter to my email: i.grama********** (i dot grama at yahoo dot com)
Hexam, thank you for your advise and for your effort to fake some sort of encouragement. We are tired of “experts” and philosophers doing nothing but spreading their wisdom over us simpletons.
Do you know anybody willing to assist us pro bono or are you willing to contribute to the payment for such services? Yeah… I thought so. Please stand down and try to help at least with silent positivity if you don’t find other ways to contribute; as unexperienced and simple as we are, we are fighting this also for the misunderstood useless geniuses like yourself.
