yes, all sounds very promising for them to be sticky shares, for the foreseeable future
and hopefully with all those cancelled trades recently, the others involved in placing
may also be reviewing their positions.
Many like YA etc over the years ,don't really care if the share goes up down or sideways
once they have executed their plans for capital return and a chosen profit. In this case
whoever is involved in the placing , must be crazy if they quickly unload , with all the
potential news already in the public domain.
Having said that, have seen some crazy ones over the years, especially in commodities
sector. Funders finished bailing, the expected news arrives, rise of 100's and sometimes
1000's of %
The original SOLG rise on the Solomon's Islands (not the Chile monster) funders out 3p
quickly moved to 6p towards end of month results due, jumped 11p then 21p
I woke up late the next day logged in and shares at 84/85 (peak) desperately hit the sells
at best as NT all went through in the 50/60's and 15mins later was back in the 30's
If I had slept in any longer , would have been throwing myself under a bus lol
could have done better 70/80 if up in time
So the lesson learned that day was, set some silly high ""limit sells"", just in case
out shopping, getting lunch or just plain slept in and a news spike arrives.
Has worked a few times over the years, on GCM with surges into the 40-80 range
when I have not been around and serves the 2nd purpose of stopping brokers
borrowing shares they don't have. GLA
