matherdj, yes in 2020 Aminex raised £2.36m which they used for reprocessing 2D seismic over Kiliwani North and Nyuni, aswell as a low cost remediation on KN1, which wasn't successful. I guess to do the KN1 lower reperforation, Aminex were waiting for payments for the outstanding gas revenues before working on KN1 again.

Bit more consolidation at this level and maybe confirm 3D seismic gathering has started next week.

BG, Yes I agree. KN1 contains 31BCF GIIP.
6.5BCF has been produced from the current interval that contains 10BCF.
There's approx 21BCF in the lower compartment which they intend to perforate.
This perforation is dependant on receiving Kiliwani gas receivables, which they now have.
KN1 news could drop anytime if they get the go ahead. Probably waiting on permissions.

They've already presented a work programme for 2022 to PURA, TPDC and the Energy Minister for KN1 and Nyuni.

Of course oil is not irrelevant if found. As I said, the sp will go crazy. It will just not be produced at CH1. Ntorya is a gas project first and foremost. Discovered oil will be an asset with added value to Aminex and APT. No doubt a separate project will be developed, and luckily with the Zubairs, they will have generous amounts of money to invest. The upside would be huge. Just because the oil will stay in the ground for a while longer doesn't mean value will not have been created. Yes, CH1 is chosen to test the deeper Jurassic. It may contain oil or it may not. That's the point of testing and drilling deeper. However oil will not be produced at CH1. I will be delighted if oil is found deeper down. The share price will go crazy. But the point is lost on you that they won't produce any oil at CH1. It is a gas well. APT are drilling for gas to prove up and develop to produce 1400MMcft per day. To extrapolate that oil at CH1 is somehow relevant to Tanzania and drilling CH1, in the way it is to Uganda, in that there are questions about drilling and producing the oil and will it ever happen, is comparing apples with oranges, as Tanzania has gas to fall back on unlike Uganda. We know your agenda against Aminex clouds your judgement. You definitely are blind to see.

I think you've really lost the plot Crusty lad. CH1 is targeting gas. 1.9Tcf. It's not an oil well. If any oil was present in the deeper Jurassic, which is not the primary objective, then it will not be produced at CH1. The focus here is bringing the Ntorya gas discovery onstream so it produces 140MMcft per day. 20/20 vision indeed! Lol

Topical article and very interesting - commerciality and appropriateness of Oil exploration and development in Uganda being questioned though Ugandan's convinced of economic value. Not difficult to extrapolate from this for CH1.

Then how do you explain any extrapolation from oil in Uganda to something completely different at CH1?
