This is a rare opportunity where the BoD are paying attention. To allow the consolidation and subsequent placing to go ahead will simply allow 'normal business' (the gravy train) to continue. Without saying too much about what I do, I do work with the "S" in SMEs (not in an investing function normally) and from my experience they will threaten all sorts of things including administration. As Dracula1 says, the company is heading that way and this is that rarest of opportunities to have a hand (and have power to do so) in changing the status quo. The status quo has clearly NOT WORKED for SH's for many years and change is needed if this company is to move forward. For these reasons, I will continue to put pressure on the BoD though these discussions and be voting against the consolidation and subsequent further dilution of my holding.
Hoping for some miracle post a consolidation is a terrible position to be in. One that fills me with dread. This also simply allows things to continue unchanged. NOW is the time for action and the BoD must realise this.
