I would also say conflating house prices in the future with oil prices perhaps needs revisiting.

Unfortunately wars will continue to be fought over oil in the near term and more importantly the world economy is intimately unconnected with this basic commodity. The G20 got involved in large part because of this ie global financial stability. Looking on the down side, stock markets are bracing themselves for a further decline which may or may not happen. This is why having reserves is fairly important at this present time.

Tricky752- inefficient operators will continue to be weeded out as is the case with the shale operators. Tullow is efficient with the price per barrel being relatively low. That with hedging makes this a no brainer to me. New CEO will add value when they come along to the party. The question for me is the disposal of assets which I have uncertainties about.

I bought in again at 25p and sitting with an average considerably below this. I have backup funds to further top up but will probably wait to see how this plays out over the next 4 weeks or so. That's my honest assessment. Just before the last OPEC plus meeting this was sitting at above 30p and that was before the the super positive RNS which brought the good ship Tullow on a better heading. On this basis 25p seems cheap but who knows!

tricky752-Oil will continue to play a key role in the world economy for many years to come. The recent Aramco IPO is testament to that. Once in a lifetime opportunity with oil. If you can, hand on heart, tell me in 6 months time oil will still be at these levels then fine but in which case we are all scre$ed (the world economy that is and not just shareholders of oil stocks).

nhawan-the RNS changes the fundamentals. Oil is hedged at a very good rate and the world order will return. Oil prices and not subject to free market economics and will be one of the sectors to recover first.

NewKOTB-------all I know is I bought in again at 25p and all I know is that at the present time I am very much feeling like I should have bought in further. Very happy with the way things are at the present time with Tullow. Also not too concerned if this dips as I will have a further opportunity its to top up. What I do know is I am not selling at these current levels.....

The article does go onto say oversupply is still an issue and could threaten to take off line oilfields in uncoordinated shutdowns.......which will increase oil prices no doubt.

I did buy at 8p and at 10p and at 25p. Happy for this to go down further in the short term but I suspect not which is why I bought in again at 25p.

laidback-why not go all the way back to 8p?! What nonsense and I take it, you like me want to buy up some more bargain basement shares. The current environmental conditions will not last and the fundamentals to Tullow look a lot better than a month ago. Why do you think KSA sovereign wealth fund is buying up cheap shares in European Stocks? Because, it is widely know this sector is undervalued compared to where it will be in 6 months from now.

Happy either way. Goes up great. Goes down, a buying opportunity beckons.

G20 involved for a reason as not reaching an agreement threatens global financial stability. My money is literally on an agreement being reached. The question is when and not if.

Who know what will happen here today. Looking at 25 to 26p and compared to where it was just 6 weeks ago this is still good value imo and worth holding. I will top up again if this falls although not willing to take the risk of losing shares at this level atm.

Well I picked up a fair number at a good rate with an avg of 13p. If I thought this share was going nowhere I would sell. Much more to come imo.

I loce your strategy. Want the share to rise to no more than 30 and trash Tullow. Very naive or other motives at play.

36p! not 56!

Before the last OPEC+ decision the SP was around 33p which was not that long ago. That was before the positive RNS bringing the good ship Tullow on a better heading. If this takes off 56p to be tested imo.
