Rigs engaged in the exploration and production of oil and natural gas in the United States totaled 602 in the week through Apr 9, compared with the prior-week count of 664. The current national rig count is also below the prior year’s 1022.

Shrinking US market. Good for tullow and Trump will take action on this. He is already exploring additional storage for strategic reserves according to Bloomberg today.

Crude palm oil prices are on the rise which is promising.

Mr.Investment-Oil is in a 'relatively' good position at the present time. Oil demand will increase gradually within two months imo and now supply has been resolved things are looking a lot better than this time last week. I am eagerly awaiting the coming days for Tullow. CEO news would be a bonus and overall a lot to look forward to in the immediate term. That cannot be said for many industries (gold already overhyped.....pharma is too risky for me atm et etc).

Sageman- I agree. Banking is one industry I will invest in in the future, once this tanks and before the inevitable rise in interest rates to compensate for inflation brought on by too much money being pumped into economies and the impending deep recession. Still optimistic about oil atm.

An abject session from RD12 of what I assume to be alcohol abuse can do to you. Personally, I am enjoying a nice cuppa tea albeit with too many hobnob biscuits.

RD12-you are quite right. Go to the side lines with your cash. Wait for stability and take it from there.

Personally, the current conditions, however terrible for people, are where money can be made. Risk/reward and your capacity for this is low. Not to negative so sit this out and good luck from the sidelines.

On final thought before my daily piece of exercise. Any idea which share has the most amount of posts over the BH weekend? Surely Tullow must be in the top 10?

Glad to see the board starting to return to some semblance of normality?! I was going to say the film, nil by mouth about a dysfunctional family would be very apt. That said, it has been enjoyable and a pleasant distraction.

RD12- I was trying to be subtle in what I was saying. Look after your health and as I say it often helps if you treat people as you would expect to be treated. It works for me in my work and home life.

It's how you deal with people which is often a reflection of something deep inside one. Two values I live by a) Treat people as I would expect to be treated and b) work hard and with humility. Strictly speak those are three values!

Rd12- take care of yourself first and foremost and it looks like a pleasant exit for you tomorrow regarding Tullow. Myself, I am looking forward to the coming 18 months or so here.

Early days yet although oil appears be stabilising and even rising a little. The deal has helped settle nerves in the market which is a positive and something I would have settled for mid last week. Good stuff and looking forward to the week.
