A serious amount of filtered messages being missed by me from the usual de-ramping crew. It would appear they are going into overdrive as you would expect.

What has WTI got to do with Tullow? Answer-very little.

Just seems like some are panicking to me and I guess that is a normal reaction. I would expect to hear a response from Trump and/or OPEC plus this week.

The fundamentals for Tullow look very good. As most of us know, oil is hedged at a very good rate. This demonstrates sound risk management and foresight by management. If I buying opportunity arises I will top up as this is a great company.

I wonder what Trump will say and do?

EX Jet fuel trader-never said you had a short position open today. Pivot point just happened so today's opportunity has gone imo.

Stating the obvious, the squeeze on shale is terrible for those involved but positive news for low cost producers such as Tullow.

rd12-banking industry is a good option when these hot rock bottom in 6 months time and just before the inevitable rise in interest rates to dampen down inflationary pressures. As you know, banks make some of their money from interest rates.

rd12-. I would stop investing if I was you. As you have said wait for the right time and make your move. In the meantime, this could free up some valuable time from these boards to spend with loved ones. Just a thought.

rd12-You need to look at where a large part of GDP is driven from in China. SEZs (Special Economic Zones) accounted for just under 25% of GDP according to the World Bank in 2010. That figure has risen significantly since then. Talking to ex colleagues in China the key zones are getting back to their work.

These arguments could go on all night. Too early to predict when lockdowns will ease. Pharma is working hard on this and agin it is too early to draw conclusions. Scaremongering is not my thing though.....just adding balance to this.

What I would say is China is the 'locomotive' of the South. They are benefitting from buying lots of very cheap oil.

bernithebiker-I never realised Spain was the powerhouse the European Union. I thought it was one of the PIGS of Europe (Spain, Italy, Greece, Spain).

Germany which is the powerhouse of Europe is Germany is cautiously starting to ease its lockdown.

Just trying to add some balance to these arguments. What is clear, is nobody knows how long this will last.
