Valueplay lost his credibility a long time ago after telling us all to invest in Ocado whilst the share price fell he then went awaybefore returning to tell us abour the profits he had made but now was the time to sell.
I find it very odd that this is the only share he comments on even though he is not invested in it.
I buy my shares based on momentum. I normally sell after 12 months and replace with the share that is top of my momentum list. RR is one of those rare occasions where it is was top of my list 12 months ago and it is still top now. I will therefore be holding for 2 years (maybe longer).
Yep, it's good to have some shares like RR do so well, it will help to reduce some of the losses on FXPO, bought in 2019 at £1, rose to £5 in the next 2 years, ummed and aahed about selling, then it started to fall and I made the classic mistake of holding on to try and get back some of my lost profit, it has since continued to fall all the way to 40p, ouch
I normally have a 5% limit but currently RR is 10% due to the impressive performance over the last 12 months.
I normally sell after 12 months but I may hold on for another month to see if the momentum continues.
Still well up from my original investment at £2.50, whilst you were shorting and losing money
No problem Sully, all info is appreciated. I wiil have a look when I get some time.
At least RR brings me some good news most days, it has now become my 6th best performing share out of the 143 I have invested in over the last 13 years.
I've had many ups and downs over my investing life, most of the downs relate to small oil and gas companies, the main up has been catching OCDO and FXPO at the right time.
Then I was diagnosed with incurable cancer and realised that worrying about stock gains or losses is pointless, if you have good health then that is a blessing and we should live life happily.
Unfortunately we often don't appreciate this until it is too late.
