Evening all. Hope you are keeping well. I believe that was the whole point of the suspension. They needed to suspend because results would not be ready in time due to the ongoing discussions.
Good morning all. That quote indicating the end of this month was in an RNS several weeks before the announcement about suspension. The RNS detailing the suspension does not give any indication of a deadline. Now Tri-Star is suspended as I understand, they have six months to sort things out .
Typo...That should say "owning" and not "opening".
Well into the last hour now and the SP is into positive territory. Very significant that we haven't seen many big sells. Closing price today is pretty irrelevant in my opinion. Every chance that things could be resolved quite soon and the next opening SP for TSTR or indeed any possible offer could easily be double where we are now. Good luck everyone!
I think everyone who reads and comments on my posts knows I am no 'ramper'. However, after some thought I conclude that if some people did know the direction in which these negotiations might be heading then there would have been a lot of aggressive selling today in lots of at least 20,000 shares per trade. that simply hasn't happened... yet. So I do also feel that in many ways there is little downside. I maintain that Odey may not be able to 'double' his money or come out with a handsome profit which people think he deserves or will insist on because he has put so much time and finance into this. It depends on solutions for further financing and he may just want to get out without a loss - and may consider himself lucky to. If people thought that a very positive outcome was imminent then I think we would have seen the price rise significantly today. I think it is a hold and today we will finish close to level. It may take time. There is a chance that the company may not be bought out. There could be significant further dilution but that would mean we would be opening part of an incredible plant that was very very very close to production and making lots of money. We may see some significant action in the last three and a half hours of the day. GLA
It is unusual but it makes sense in that from tomorrow they would be breaking the rule for not releasing the results. So from tomorrow they would not be permitted to trade on AIM until results are published. Today they are still ok.
Hmmm, same old pattern. Up close to 32p and then nothing to take it further. So we start to slip back down. Surely it is not a 'technical' issue. Any explanations?
Good morning everyone. A slow start to the day it seems. SP is nicely poised to break through the resistance level should the demand be there. Eyes on 32p on the bid for the push onwards to 40p.
Afternoon everyone. I'm not so sure Odey would be interested in buying us out at all. He has a huge majority. I think by keeping it as a public company, if the plant is hugely successful he will look at making his money buy selling off his shares in stages on the open market.
It could be. I hope so. We would need to see 32p on the bid at close to be sure I think. Has it got the legs?
So much potential- there seems to be plenty of support and momentum but will TSTR be able to close at 32p or above? Incredible amount of resistance it seems and nobody offering any reasons why. Once it passes that level I think it goes straight up to the 40p mark with ease. GLA
I think all we can say is watch this space. Some key things to take note of are those infamous 'chunky buys' - while they are going through I think there is very good reason to be optimistic. Also, are any of the buyers willing to buy above 32-33p level? We have not seen that yet. If a deal is being rumoured to be done for 60p++ then you would think that this level could be crossed. My opinion is that any deal is nothing more than a vague rumour at this stage and so 30p represents a good punt for anyone acting on it. The quiet chunky buys might be linked to positive developments re production targets and the overall running of the plant. A positive RNS about production and the plant should now see the SP rise to and stay above 40p+. More delays and issues at the plant will knock it way back below 20p IMO. Takeover could be at any price and I don't think Odey has to make a minimum amount of profit. Yes he has invested a huge amount of money and time in this but he may just be relieved to get his money back. The funny thing is that noone seems to really know his average. He definitely acquired a significant number of shares at rock bottom prices in the open offer.
LOL. I didn't start any rumour. Just a sensible observation that I am happy to be challenged on - Look out for patterns of sustained buying in larger amounts. It could be a sign that confident positions are being taken ahead of likely good news. LOL
Harley64, I think they could be. My attention was caught firstly with the two trades yesterday around 1pm but those are likely to be someone switching shares from one account to another. Since then though there have been some fairly chunky purchases (20,000 shares +) and without any ramping, they are fairly significant I would say. Fingers crossed. GLA
Afternoon everyone. All quiet here on the TSTR chat front. The rampers are having trouble with their line about what seems to be a not so imminent takeover. The long term holders don't really take any satisfaction in saying "I told you so" because they also would like the SP to rise but are fed up with short term ramping that just sees the SP fall again. We are back to last Wednesdays levels again. Noone can make any reasonable guess on when any news on either production or a possible takeover might happen even by the delaying of the results. Its likely to just be delayed results. If you want to look for a sign, ignore twitter and crazy rumours/lies on bulletin boards - look for the quiet chunky buys that tend to trickle in in the days before an RNS is released. GLA
A few posters on Twitter combined with a couple of posters on LSE combined with Zak Mir's kiss of death might be a fairly small crew but can prove to be quite effective.
So far my prediction yesterday looks 'pretty spot on' as Nasser Hussein would say. A bit of a retrace but not too much and plenty of buys going through at 29p at the moment. Maybe after lunch the rampers on twitter will have another orchestrated crack and we might get another rally. I still don't think there will be any news for a while. If there happen to be more buys next week, will TSTR break through the resistance level that seems to be around 33p?
So there we have it. Quite decent volume today but still closing below the close of play on 7th August. Tomorrow might be telling. News? A further rise? A fall back to 24p or so? My prediction is that it will hold just below this level tomorrow. A healthier share price should help us in any negotiations that may or may not be happening at the moment. I think the rumour that is believed is for a 60p buyout and some people feel that without knowing anything, it is worth a punt at 30p to double their money. And maybe that is why it is not moving higher at this point. Just my opinion though. Happy to be wrong and for a buyout to be at 100p+. GLA
Top of the leaderboard now :) MMs stubbornly holding the SP at this level though. When it goes it will go I think, one way or the other.
Fuzzbox, I think that if we get through 33-34p then 40-45p+ is very possible. Otherwise I can also see this closing at 24p tomorrow. On these rallies, some people seem to know what this share or any potential deal is worth and at this moment they are only buying at these levels around 30p... GLA
Excitement again - And again the rise is big but comes to a halt around 31-32p as it did earlier in the summer. I am intrigued as to why. Thoughts?
