Im not buying some don’t understand block caving… any mining major, with a big enough check book to purchase Cascabel, will have a better understanding of block caving than anyone at Solgold… it’s been around for years now..

Political instability, OK yes.. I agree with that… impossible to disagree… but other mines are progressing in Ecuador, so it’s not a showstopper.

The whole mining world, and everyone connected with it, especially in the copper and gold area, know what Solgold have… and they know damn well, just like we do, that Solg management want to sell it… or ‘monetise’ it …. They can see the share price has totally collapsed over the last 2 years, and yet here we are… continuing to ‘derisk’ as we have no other option.

I don’t believe successive management teams could be so incompetent to not achieve a sale, if the asset was so exceptional… I guess we may never know.

I agree to some extent that it was relatively reassuring…. It confirmed what many have thought all along, that they want to sell it…

However it does raise questions… why are they struggling to sell it, if it’s such a great asset??..

After years of trying… why, during a period of such high metal prices, after all the supposed interest over the years… all the various parties supposedly in the data room.. have our management failed to sell it… or joint venture it?

What is it about this asset??

Tottenham Court Road is only a few mins walk away from that pub… and it’s mostly furniture shops… perhaps that is where they going to find a chair.

Having listened to the call I can honestly say Scott is a total charisma vacuum!!

But worse than that, the call has reminded me again that he comes across like a politician with no knowledge or information of the issues he is being asked about… or someone that’s landed a job they are totally unqualified for…. so all we get is repeated vague non specifics as he fluffs along, unable to properly answer any question with a clear, detailed, concise answer…

It’s just American politico style fluff… yeah they guys, they are great bunch of guys, doing great things… we are all working hard… GMining, yeah they do good things, hopefully, you know, it will be great… we are looking to do… in due course we will aim to do, further down the line we may… did I mention GMining? Gee, Those guys are the best.. continue to derisk.. work on the plan…. Keep working hard..

4 years since Liam Twigger was on stage, literally begging any parties to come forward to do JVs with, Scott hopes they can maybe find someone in the future that might want to do. a JV….. our portfolio of tenements must be total crap!!

Our management are completely floundering.. those timelines will just slide..

and come November half of this board will vote them in again at the AGM.

The share price is down to the total failure to successfully conclude the Strategic Review... and the total shut down of all exploration... with no plans to restart it.... The lifeblood of all junior exploration companies.

and see if you can learn anything about Porvenir? As in do they have any plans to raise funds to resurrect it?

They must be capable of doing something, somewhere else, while G Mining take care of Cascabel?

If you can get any explanation as to why management have failed to JV any of the regionals..

and what is the alternative now with those??

Add, My view is that’s the floor, give or take a penny either way, that the staged finance agreement has put in place..

I think you can pretty much disregard the near 8% drop so far today….

If you exclude the irrational pop up at the close yesterday and see the pathetic volume traded today, the overall picture is Solg is definitely tracking, very tightly, for whatever reason, the 7p level… it’s almost as tight as a drum

Obviously I don’t know about Mather’s private wealth… but I’m sure he could afford to cover that personally if he wanted to… If he has a supreme confidence in Solgolds outcome, surely this is what he would do? Rather than reduce his interest/holding.

But my assumption is he will want to do a deal with some of his holdings now…. And if he does, that will answer the above question.

Maybe DGR struggles can spark some interest or open a door. The problem for Mather would be everyone knows it’s a distressed deal. As such, any suitor wanting to take a position in Solg at this stage via Mather would achieve a great price for such a sizeable chunk..

Personally my preference would be for an existing holder to increase their position, over an expansion of our already much discussed ‘diverse book’, but I don’t really care if it will breathe some life, attract some interest and excitement back in to the Solgold story… which is currently looking like a greying, dusty bit of cheese, going mouldy in the corner of the cupboard .

One of my concerns with Solgold in past years, was the larger holders engineering their own deals to exit their positions, leaving retail out of any potential big dream pay day… and looking at more dilution… But that was more of a concern at much higher prices..

So who knows, Maybe Scott’s collapse of the share price was a fantastic master plan to see that off……… probably not!

Hong Kong on Thames if you like… though at least they are generally quiet, not aggressive and clearly not spongers.

I split my time living between Manchester and Canary Wharf for years now….

I can vouch for experience that most of London has fast gone down the toilet over the last 10 years… and is absolutely beyond help.

I don’t own a share in DGR.

If Solgold ever come good, DGR will follow…. But I don’t own it.
