RE: KLSO RNS some thg shares sold at 105p28 Sep 2023 10:13
"The THG sale wasn't even in the accounting period lol, so they can't be the same can they?"
That seems to be correct, The 105p sale appears to have been outside the reporting period, so should translate into the next reporting period, along with any other gains. That's how I see it.
How they got the £1M net profit is anyone's guess but given they only had 1 investment (THG) and an office (probably rented) + furniture, it's either where the portfolio stood at the end of the period or they themselves have been dabbling with the share price volatility ( a bit of algo trading themselves or in and out on their CFD's).
Anyway enough time dwelt on this by me. Absolutely nothing wrong with making a decent profit.
As a Kelso shareholder I'm happy that they have started to bank some gains and realise profits and to redeploy it for their next gains, whilst still retaining good exposure to any further @THG share price rises and still holding well for the next Capital Event.
I'm also happy as a THG shareholder for Kelso are a) still holding well (possibly re-bought) and b) as Active Investors are having another pop at Moulding on our behalf for the volatility around the share price and what he and the BoD can do to resolve it. the holding might be small but don't underestimate their ability and lobbying power.
