Best Post Anywhere in a long time.29 Sep 2023 16:26
Been out and spent just shy of £45 on the weekly MyProtein frozen ready meals and just had a quick catchup on Linkedin. Easily the most rationale post I have read in a very long while.
"On the subject of “people being brave enough to speak out” Can we hear some news about THG’s future strategy please Matt? I don’t care about Clare.
I care about shareholder value which has dropped 90% since IPO. I care about the 1.1m shares I own in THG which are significantly under water right now. What are you and the management team going to do to improve this? What’s the strategy, what’s the plan of action? You said 18 months ago that a bid of £1.70 significantly undervalues the company, yet 18 months on, we are still trading at 70p… having spent 100’s million… with no clear direction as to where we are going, short, medium, or long term.
You have personally talked about taking the company private, selling off a division, middle eastern investment, premium listing, relisting part of the business on another exchange… We even turned down an acceptable price offer from Apollo a few months ago because the terms were “apparently” not right for THG. What was the price offered Matt? As long-term shareholders, we want to know. This small piece of detail could have a huge impact on the current share price."
Well done the author of that one.
A simple follow on to the points on all MM's different potential strategy avenues - Why did we also go to the trouble of spending circa £9 million (that's what MM said) on seperating all 3 Divisions into their own legal entities? (4 including the now sold On Demand)? That again, one that about a year has progressed since.
Surely if you are going to spend good company, and shareholder money, - it's not unreasonable tp be expected a return within a reasonable amount of time. Otherwise why do it. Perhaps another reason why people are after some strategic update and direction.
I'll put up the winges, monas and anger thread later for all the faux holders and traders who only seek to post during market hours. Lets see how much they post outside market hours.
