I don't know about gorilla warfare but it's a definite plus for KLSO if Matt Moulding has considered it worthy of himself purchasing a 3.2% stake and is now stalking the stalker. It also lets him join the Kelso "C-Suite" of its own Founder Investors and High Net Worth individuals, all well connected individuals.

That's the same Kelso incidentally that have got the dividend cancelled @WRKS and to be replaced by the buying back it's own @WRKS shares for cancellation. That incidentally has also bought back some of it's own shares recently and cancelled them, and that in it's investment rationale for its 4th investment only yesterday (Angling Direct) thought there was also scope there for buying back it's own shares.

So I take it he approves of Share Buybacks as a means of enhancing shareholder value.

If the Black Friday to Cyber Monday online sales and online trading since November have indeed translated directly across to @THG, and there should be a marked improvement in last years comparatives due to no targeted to massive effect Postal disputes this year and the knock on effects, If THG Beauty is recovering, THG Nutrition benefiting from low whey prices and, THG Ingenuity's business wins seem to be building up a head of steam ...

Then why not Buy Back your own THG shares whilst they are still this cheap. Take them out of circulation and cancel them. Maybe keep a few in Treasury that can be awarded to key employees at a later date should their departments hit stretch targets. Spend and perhaps put to better use the recent $122M Bid monies that were recently rebuffed for Adore Beauty in Australia.

Anyway, what Moulding decides to do with his own personal money is down to him and given none of it is THG money I think the biggest surprise was the knock to the share price this morning as there is nothing in there that affects the day to day business of THG.

It's a curved ball for sure but it just goes to show that in business anything can happen. Would never have seen that coming in a million years so it will have purpose.

Looking forward to seeing what the Next Chapter strategy and the Manila office can add here.

The reason for the comment is that all the trades thus far today look like Buys, right from opening. Well done though if you profited as that's the name of the game.

I'm not so sure he plays games and as Kelso stock is tightly held it must have taken him about a month (and with a seller) to get what he needed. There will be a purpose to his Kelso stake. there always is. Just look at the CityAM purchase and how it is now being used for free THG group adverts, Lookfantastic, Glossybox, MyProtein ...

I think if he was playing any games then he probably went and bought moanymans shares on the cheap. That poster was vociferously negative on here all the time and without a good word to say. Supposedly held Kelso shares at the same time but seems to have got frustrated over there several weeks back, gone quiet over and probably sold out. Moulding probably buying his shares as he accumulated.

He'll have a reason.

So now we know who was bagging all the seller shares prior to and just after they cleared. Matt Moulding the CEO of THG. Nobody saw that one coming!! Must have taken about a month.

I'll give him his dues in that he read this well and accumulated on a downdraft. Shrewd move on his part. Could have just stopped at 3% had he wished but didn't and made it 3.2% so is he intent on accumulating more. No doubts about it that he has the personal wealth to easily buy Kelso outright or might he acquire it for THG and incorporate it as an Investment arm and supply it with larger capital. Or is it the first throws at using Kelso to take THG Nutrition to a seperate listing elsewhere and realising significant value twice over.

Doubtless, there will be a plan behind his investment. There always is.

Well in theory he could offer for and takeover Kelso in the blink of an eye given his own personal wealth. Without checking the Market Cap it must be less than £10M.

Could take them under his wing as an investment arm and provide them with far greater funding pots.

It will also be interesting to see if he buys more as he could have just bought 3% but instead bought 3.2%. It will also be interesting to see if he pops up as a shareholder on any of Kelso individual company share purchases. NCC for one seemed to put on a spurt yesterday.

But I get where some are coming from as to why he didn't instead invest in THG shares. It will certainly make for interesting reading if he posts anything on Linkedin.

That contract award link that popped up on here yesterday for me says PFC intend being here for many years to come and its business as usual. You don't dish this sort of business out if you are going t #its up.

Also one of the main shorters also reducing has also been a convincer. They exit (and go long) and leave retail shorters holding the baby and the bathwater.

If this has all been a ruse started around the Israel / Gaza conflict and getting out of hand with one lazy hedge fund blindly following the other then there are a lot of shares that need to be bought back to cover. Buying back or going long prior to the 20th could of course have been the plan all along for those in the know. It's a 3% threshold to notify of any acquired holdings so in all honesty we will probably never get to know.

LD - I'm in Kelso and track it daily and it wasn't off book for me. Must have had a broker accumulated the bulk when it was sold down to about 2p. Been in wonderment who was picking them up. That's as well as Kelso buying back their own shares.

Just iced the cake the last few days and took it over the 3%. It's been firming up.

Fascinating and been watching the volume increases over there from 2.0p / 2.2p to where it is.

3.2% holding so been accumulating for a bit of time. The sly old dog.

I just wonder if now he uses Kelso as the "seperate listing" vehicle which they offered up right at the start.

If those numbers are to be believed D_K (and personally I'm extremely sceptical) then they are actually down from yesterday when it was 18.46%. So today it is 18.43% shares - NB - Thats "Out On Loan".

So despite a recorded 16.95% fall in the share price today, and probably a lot more buys than sells, and 3 if not 4 times back and forth between 22.5p and 24.5p / 25.5p and probably a floor forming and with what I think was some obvious large scale purchasing of stock, the number of shares - Out On Loan - has actually gone down.

So ask yourself who had the spread and the ability to move the share price back and forth at will? Ability to naked short on top of that to create liquidity? and actually How many buy orders for instance are actually sat in the background part-filled or waiting to be filled?

Short tracker and the FCA published data incidentally on cctual "short positions" shows only 6.98% - albeit these are only recorded positions over 0.5%. Nice drop there though by Astaris Capital Mgt of 0.45% yesterday.

A simply astonishing fall for the present data that is out there and particularly with that link today showing PFC signing a future subcontract deal for its big wind farm deal contract. That puts paid to a lot of the C@ rp that has appeared on here over the last few days and weeks, and to be fair above all else it is actually concrete and fact.

The share price drop started around the 9th / 10th October and on the Monday just after the Israel Gaza conflict started which was Saturday 7th October with the Hamas incursion into the country. You can check the chart above as its pretty obvious.

Sure PFC could have put out a reassuring RNS as they do not have offices or operational bases in either Israel or Gaza but it would only take 5 minutes to find that out.

It could then I suppose be validly argued that things might escalate and become more widespread with other countries like Iran becoming involved. All beyond PFC's control of course, BUT and it has to be pointed out that with US involvement in the background and other country diplomacy that hasn't happened. Perplexing therefore that there were any protracted initial falls.

So say that accounts for the first 3 to 4 weeks and say it takes it down to 50p to 55p where it hovered for a bit then it becomes even more perplexing at the further halving of the share price, particularly when there is no publicly printed or available reason anywhere in that time justifying the fall. Yes plenty of speculation and deramping conjecture across bulletin boards but simply no hard facts to date.

I buying to build a good average as these can bounce back up just as quickly as they have fallen and there is an update coming on the 20th December and no hard factual evidence for the fall. If it simply a ruse to rob retail PI shares and transfer them to II's with no legitimate reason behind it or if results on the 20th are decent then I would expect a good return. That said I'm pretty patient. I also suspect some will close their positions prior and that today we saw the start of that. Nothing stopping the Directors either loading up with shares at these levels when that closed period ceases on 20th December. It must be pretty frustrating for them not being able to take advantage of the present share price.

I'm interested if anybody is following the Fugazi / casino market that is prevailing in Petrofac (PFC) at the moment. Not a dissimilar situation to previous goings on here to be fair and yet another one that could be getting gift wrapped for a predator. Seems to have fallen from the 85p it reached just after a really good Fitch rating and from just after the Israel / Gaza conflict commences (from about 10th October on the Graph). Surprising as PFC doesn't have offices in Israel or Gaza and to date there has been no wider Middle Eastern contagion to knock business and they are sat on some really good recent contract wins: one with Hitachi for large windfarms and energy security in Europe worth about £8 Billion - its named TenneT. No that's not a misprint on the value incidentally. In a closed period presently on a run in to results. Last two days having seen about 10 to 11p knocked off an already low share price. The usual all manner of trolls and derampers offering up supposed reasons for the fall and sell advice. It maybe? triple bottomed today at or around present levels. Interested if anyone else here holds and their thoughts and Dyor.

Well they've certainly been driving the adverts on City AM so that might in part be contributing to a return to growth, particularly with THG Beauty.

None in todays issue, but there were two ads in yesterdays copy. One for Lookfantastic and one for MyProtein with a £19.99 deal. Saw a Glossybox ad just the other day just prior to that.

There must be a target audience in the multiple millions what with London and the Home Counties, plus those who view the newspaper either through the App or online. To be fair its actually a good read.

The great thing about it al is that this is all free advertising as well and inhouse our "Studio" can fashion and design the advertisements as bread and butter stuff.

The Black Friday to Cyber online numbers yesterday (and online spend) since the start of November being up over 5% each has to start to reflect itself at some point in the share price you would think. Otherwise if THG surprise in January (and they might well given no Postal disputes to affect 1/3 of their business) then it has to be a fairly big jump. Especially when you are working from a deeply undervalued and suppressed share price.

Just my thoughts.

Just sit down and read and ponder the implications of this one for a minute (i.e. - it looks like cash is alright to be embarking on this forward business and it also certainly looks like there is nothing wrong with the TenneT deal, to the contrary.

And I see the Saudis have just invested and taken a stake in Heathrow Airport this fine day. Plenty of Oil rich sovereign Wealth Funds out there with lots of cash to burn courtesy of high oil prices and as they migrate away from fossil fuels to other industries.
