Shorters have all but exited licker and one of the last out commented that they thought a capital event was a distinct possibility. Then you need to add in the new Kelso dynamic of calling for a shareholder vote. I benefited well first hand from what happened at REVB so know what can and did happen there. Same cynics also dissed Kelso when it was 2p only a few weeks back and I bought well. Now look at it. Same at PFC and it hit a 150% return earlier today.

One way or another - the share price is underperforming / too cheap - and something happens.

Happy to pick up more at strategic points for the lower price plays right into others hands.

Dyor is the key.

They might be selling it down to get an advantageous price in the Closing auction and to pass through some earlier buy trades as sells

But they might just be selling their shares into the hands of other buying them up...

I think we can all feel it wants to move higher but then you have the MM's shutting the door on the ability to buy when the price drops. Why?

Lets see where it finishes at the bell and I think what we are all seeing probably just scratches the surface at what is going on behind the scenes.

You can't dispute the contents of the not 1 but 2 RNS's yesterday were knockout.

Looks like fishing for stock.

There's still an awful lot of over leveraged stock that needs to close imvho (or go long to mitigate).

Especially if HF's close for the festive break and the company is still getting on with the work in hand and delivering on news and a solution.

Its just getting back to where it was yesterday....

35p / 36p finish?

There must be some real large closing trades from earlier this morning to be pushed through and the MM's have been fishing for stock since after this mornings presentation.

Try Haliburton, Schlumberger or Adnoc or any other variety of Sovereign Wealth funds that are flush with oil rich cash.

You must also have missed the far better than expected UK CPI data this morning and the Fed signalling they expect 3 interest rate cuts next year. Your a bit behind the curve.

What with the US talking of 3 Interest rate cuts over there in the New Year you don't need a scientific calculator to work out what the direction will be in the UK also.

Much better landscape for ITM's investment decisions and the likes of Shell and other customers.

The best thing Mgt said today, amidst many things, was that they are not going to provide a running commentary on strengthening the balance sheet and will make announcements as and when they are pertinent. Makes it an unpredictable environment to be short.

We haven't even scratched the surface of todays volume and particularly what happened during the first 30 minutes and countless Auctions so expect some large trades to filter through probably after close (and at higher levels)

Another very large order announced today. One with TotalEnergies just yesterday (now over £8 Billion by year end), performance bond guarantees now coming through one after the other and still operating within its covenants says all the FUD falls backed by excessive leverage have and still are overdone.

Some things perhaps but Kong and £150k equity just gelled out to 3 staff members, one "newcomer of the year" might cause you to rethink that remark.

Others like Kelso would openly argue that THG are simply not doing enough and let the shareholders that own the company decide by calling an independently verified vote.

It's nice to have the visibly improving macro but things are all still bubbling away nicely in the background, and always at their best in my experience when things are quiet in the background. Whose plotting what?

Talking of which I'm happy to have been one of several who invested against the tide @ PFC at 14.8p, by interpreting things myself, rationally countering the mass FUD and backing against the trend. Smashing rebound there this morning and a lot of FUD shorters over there got absolutely frazzled amidst auction after auction and it rising early doors to 35p / 38p. Makes for a very special Christmas this year and Well done if you also stuck some money in and got involved. Had seen Rock8 and CheshireLad over there to name a few.

Trades thin here because the sp is probably about 10p to 15p under where it should be and that being just off recent FTSE 250 rebounds.

One way - or another - we'll get the desired result here...

The stars are aligning on the macro picture Sp28. Both here and for wider UK markets.

Should see 3 interest rate cuts in the US next year and no excuse now for the UK not to be following in those footsteps. Political pressure with growth stalling and an election year looming will also ratchet up on Bailey. Best macro picture emerging that we have seen in years.
