Compare the assets of amount of debt) also really like the assets held by Quintain and the fact that Barclays is supporting the firm with improved loan terms , and the likes of Standard Life , Blackrock , Caledonia Investments being major holders of this stock . Might not mean as much in todays climate but NAV on this stock was over £4 last interim report vs the current 50p!! Now not many firms trade at such a discount. I am looking forward to June the 4th though ! It will make interesting reading .

nope , I bought in at 9p way before the spike and have been kicking myself for not selling when it hit the lower 20s as I was not awake !!! Big mistake !! Learnt the lesson . I say finally out of frustration probably as since the improved financials there was little news or movement in the share other than downwards as PIs have been selling and had no patience which with small caps is what you need > The spike was I agree all swine flu related and PIs jumping in ( why not for some it was very profitable I guess) . Quintain Estates & Development plc will announce preliminary results for the year ended 31 March 2009 on Thursday 4 June 2009.

yup I understand the in it for the long term .. but to be fair with a bit of intuition there is money to be made on the peaks and troughs here !! If only the share was traded a bit more as the current volumes ( mind you the whole market ) are very low !! I didn't believe in Brixton so I missed out !! I know the feeling , I had Brixton on my watchlist for ages and could have picked them up at 20 p !! But could have , should have , would have to quote Sir Alan doesn't count I am afraid !! I invested in some stupid mine and now have my funds stuck !! trust me it makes me ill !! Which makes me an even stronger supporter of the DYOR fan club !! And do a lot of it ! No real idea today on what to do on any share !! The only obvious trade would have been ICX but probably not this morning !!! QED now stuck for a while and Brixton flying !! The one week correlation is now broken . Sub 49 QED it a buy again but as I said resistance at 59 ( far away at the moment ) !! The whole market needs some positive news !! The retrace has now started and i missed a mid 50s bid !! So will have to live through another wasted opportunity !!

I have a similar view and noticed the small buys/sell MM funny manipulation. All interesting , I do wonder though whether the rights issue will really occur or a takeover , the recent deals and cash raising from the deals ,might be enough. Barclays improved the the banking covenants too. ( I wrote "poor" instead of more in my last post d'oh ) !!! Anyway would be interesting to see if the 59 level can be broken this week as that should be the next resistance , and then if it follows recent patterns this might retrace to 50 , this would make this recent pattern a 3 in a row occurence . If this game is played often I don't understand it , but would have to take advantage of it I suppose

I am in Quintain and have been posting positively about it as I have my research done , I agree with you the share has gone unnoticed which I think is very weird considering the gains , I have so far traded at similar levels too to yours . good to see poor posters

not only that but mostly sells in the last 10 days and two tiny buys made the price rise today !! Seems like the MMs wanted the bid to increase . Do they want the stock now ?? It has made me curious as if they so want it , there must be something going on . Why increase the bid when you have the sellers anyway ??? Maybe they know something positive

I have good confidence in QED that I invested way back when this was trading in the teens !! I have added too now in the 40s !! I have spoked to some of the biggest developers and most seem very bullish on Quintain , " great team , great projects etc " I can't say the same for all the other companies in the sector i discussed . And now the much improved financing . Ftse is up too ! Be Positive !!
