But the daily has a clear uptrend with 21.8/22 at the moment clear upward trendline . That would need breaking first.
The next swing low is at 20.70 there after .

We'd need some very bearish sentiment for anything lower

On the upside we need to clear 25 to then attack 27 , above 27 we have the upper trendline

Use TradingView and add the Swing 55 indicator or find my online chart for the trend lines I have always indicated. They have worked super well for now . Precise to the decimal nearly .

Remember that ENQ/UKOIL ( ie Brent) we are significantly underperforming Brent , no way near the August or March levels and no way near previous years . I re-rate will come as we stay above $70 for long . Whilst funnily we see Enq down with Brent today when one thinks about it the firm is making money today, significantly too , value creation yet price falls...

Somehow I doubt they are selling the position, being it a fund . long/short they may have to rebalance positions and size to keep to certain criteria.
Plus with Brent the way it is and gas , Energy is the sector to be in for now

Given hedging is key to the stability of the firm 12 months ahead as far as Dec 22 we now have Brent at $70

In my mind more significant to Enquest than Brent cash figures as this allows their finance dept to hedge significantly and allowing for a great 2022 well in advance .
Obviously baffled, as many here, as to what is holding us back these days as value creation is obvious here . All very strange to me but remaining long as I have been since April 2020 .

I looked at Russian exports this year vs last 5 years , it made me wonder was is the real capacity to increase production , my guess is that it's not as great as many think , at least judging by the declining export figures .

Were looking at BRent and saw a minor dip and sold. Right now brent is back to close to $75 cash

Kraken my friend am much more bullish, 28-32 is my first target and I have these puppies since 12.85 on this leg, as traded Enquest many times , plus the given 19p ones. The support level indicated on the chart I know you saw ,was correct and the upper extension is juicy as you can see .
I see no reason for Enquest not getting there
US UK air travel yesterday was given a major boost and read that bookings went through the roof , air travel is booming once again . If COvid gets really under control and becomes a seasonal influenza then there is a massive pent up demand for many activities and certain boom in energy consumption of which oil plays a huge part. The third vaccine in Israel has proved to be super effective. So am optimistic.
Given that I trade too and am not just long only, the support level indicated is already just over 10% up and again will sell those ( as they are spreads) if we get retraces only to buy back, but the direction is up in my view in a zig zag fashion as always , me I'd buy the dips .
Remember there will be people buying in the 30s as this could target 48p too in 2022

Macro View :
H1 front month futures averaged just over $65 and H2 so far we are slightly above $72 average

This is a $7 improvement .

Today's fluctuations are in a way very irrelevant unless we drop considerably more and end H2 substantially under $65 average , that would probably need prices dipping below $60 rest of the year.

I eco the view that given that the energy sector is already on historically super low multiples then this sector is not the one am looking at for any major pullback . Demand coming out of Covid is also increasing rapidly , roads in London are back to the congested norm we are used to. Weekend was very busy . Hearing the same in many major cities across Europe and US .

Only sub $60 brent i would consider taking my stake out . And that is far away

Helikon begs to differ. I doubt a Euro 1bn long short fund took a position in Enquest just for fun and without a proper due diligence given the pedigree of the PMs and analysts there.

Just stay patient and am confident Enquest will resume the rise. given Brent prices being so supportive too

Hi Kraken. Most often we see articles on mags and the very opposite happens if they are all doom and gloom or all boom and good times, the underlying rallies or crashes just doing the opposite of the article or cover page. Most technicians know these mags are famously ridiculed as being reverse signals . Am holding and the only regret I have was not trading and buying them back today . C'est la vie.

It's most important to remember that Enquest is generating profits and cash now. Each day we are in the $70s we deleverage and the company is adding value as we wait for further production. That is all that matters if here for the bigger rewards. If day trading or swing then it's clearly more sentiment driven and a different story . But Enquest is adding value each day and that is the tangible reality . Share prices swing as they always do. I equally can't imagine that API tomorrow and EIA on Thursday ( will be nothing but big draws ) . Plus Brent curve is nicely in backwardation hence supportive of high Brent values and hence bullish .
As we clear out the softer hands and volume today seems to have slowed down we'll see where support comes in and how early on expectation of GE good news

Weird if you ask me , I had the RNS in line with expected. Plus as we can see oil average will increase too.

Guess will have to just wait for the time necessary to resume the uplift and possibly add more . nearly 5p off the recent highs is quite silly in my view.

Taking a look at the share price past 2 days one would think Brent collapsed or something . Weird how sentiment works . Barclays has them at 30p today and once GE is on board I suspect that gets revised once again to the up side

Bond traders are the most informed in my view and are clearly buying . Strikes me as things never change in this business, equity analysts and pm's are always behind the curve . I may be biased ;-)
