With average year to date Brent (front month ) at $95.58 . That $100 mark and debt free as early as 2023 is an amazing target if it happens and as I type Brent ( May ) is at 111.6$ , Amazing recovery

Consider now that even Enquest has recovered to their 12 months highs and will likely storm higher, consider that Harbour is still 32% below its 12 month highs which as we mostly agree is insane ( I think only Petrofac is further distanced at 39%) Most other oillies will be making new 12month highs or have regained those levels

If we get a solid close over 438 this become a strong buy in my view . Some may jump the gun and buy lower

The high we reached recently finally allows the next high to get challenged(about 30) , thereafter it goes up a lot 38 then 48 then .... my target . Yesterday's dip was a giant opportunity to buy the dip in my view.

In essence price of oil or gas is irrelevant to the share price but relevant to the P&L . Which eventually will do the talking

As earlier last year in March 2021 with Brent's trajectory approaching the $70 mark we saw over 600p then in Dec 21 again a bit higher than the 70$ mark HBR traded at more or less like today and in the 400s .
All never made sense but with the overhang to be cleared I guess now it does. As HBR should be nearer to 1250 than today's price . All one has to look at is the likes of Serica pushing up or similar .

Am looking forward to the fireworks when that 435-440 level is broken which in my view will be the signal with increasing volume
For those on the sides it seems to me the price is too cheap to be true so a case of paying at 10/15% discount to the breakout now and wait or wait for confirmation to enter losing the discount .

Very interesting points you make. Are you keeping an approximate total of the volume that needs to be cleared ? Ie if so how close based on daily volumes or any contractual date ? If I may ask , how did you put the puzzle together ? I ask as am a price guy not really fundamentals . So the basing we are seeing tends to give me the idea that once it breaks the upper level it will go very high, as the longer these consolidations the higher the target. Usually and based on my data sets of such patterns .

Imagine that the hedged gas sales are at 46p , so the market and Moody's was happy with that level , but with the unhedged at over 400 even over 500 yesterday and the market prices the share down.

Its borderline INSANE and wrong on all levels .

I think its like when a flat is placed on the market for 1 million and for whatever the reason the broker over priced it and it then sees a reduction to 900k then the potential buyers get spooked and ask why the reduction or is there something wrong we don't know ? We know the broker over promised to get the contract and the property has then gone stale for a few months

Our price has gone stale for quite some time and investors as a result have gone cold . Not happening eg at Serica or others but happening on Enquest too. Until we have tangible evidence on an official update I fear this under pricing will remain with us .

Is it fair to use $30 as breakeven and hence the unhedged part is more or less returning 8034 if at $110 /90$ if at $120 ? With Friday's $120 Brent level I really was expecting this nearer to 40p than 25. Even 60p later in the year is starting to look way more than feasible

Even with an Iranian ( another mistake ) new treaty the amount of new oil needed with Russian's taken out and demand in the West so far going up, won't dent that great profit margin Enquest and the other north sea firms are making .

The margins are now HUGE !! The more this continues (and embargo will for sure) the faster Enquest will return to a low debt level. At Friday's levels we could get close to $1bn in free cash flow over 12months.

The bit that I don't understand is why are revaluations not being seen yet after all the impairments losses we were subjected to till 2020 when recognised post-tax non-cash impairment charges on its oil and gas assets was $259.2 million (2019: $397.5 million), reflecting a reduction in oil price assumptions. Now oil price assumptions are totally the opposite . Where is the accounting benefit ?

Thing that should be clear is that at $80 Brent , Enquest should be much higher and happy for the next 3 years . As debt will be far reduced and doesn't need to go to zero .

Maybe the market will start to radically move Enquest up in the next month
