I agree. I mean where does it all end ? Europe already gifted manufacturing jobs to China and US who don't have the immediate transition to renewables at the top of their agenda and at all costs like we have here. Am not sure if the consumer realises that UK tax covers North Sea industry only ie our very own assets. It will do nothing to lower prices at the pump nor will it bring in the desired profits , It will in fact make us more dependent on foreign firms some of whom do not have similar eco policies.

Am long gas and oil short and mid term. As these governments will mess the case for renewables too. utter clowns left right and centre and the consumer that votes any of these people in deserves the consequences . Anyone here thinks their bills will be lowered as a result of taxation needs serious help .

How to alienate voters and do the opposite of what a Tory government should do, this is more like a Labour government to me , immigration up , taxation up , utter incompetence with our own oil and gas industry , incompetence over Covid handouts . As mad as Corbyn is and was I doubt the current bunch are far off. I wonder why I still live here as frankly speaking both parties are unelectable and I would never vote Labour. But now I'll join the millions that won't or don't vote. Am party less. How can a serious leadership want to make our own industry compete with foreign ones and expect prices to fall ? with taxation ? A 5 year old has more brains. Investment will move abroad , the likes of LInda Cook won't take it and all future acquisitions will be outside the remit of the tax for sure. So we'll have no oil industry in the North Sea. Clever indeed as well as no energy part independence . The world baffles me everyday but our crop of politicians go way beyond baffling me .

I do agree that the hedged volume is falling off and that HBR is way undervalued . Christmas time will be my estimate for being debt free and in 2023 I wouldn't be surprised to see further diversification out of the UK . Seems like our local MPs and some voters will vote to kill off our industry so end up paying foreign companies instead ! What absolute mugs we are surrounded by in society. I truly believe that there is a mental impediment with some people who fail to recognise that we are gifting other countries. Did some research om coal and realised that coal production and consumption is actually up this year big time . Would you believe that ? insane ! Nobody can name me one government which taxed itself to economic growth , it just never happened and never will , Imagine we now have Scandi comparable taxes and yet we don't have Scandi comparable services. The solution here is that the Tories need to find a stable leader , quash any silly notion of a Labour government and reduce the temperature of politics and media hysteria . I can at least confirm my own example, we had dozens viewing the property that I have for rent (tenants buying a new one ) Asking price was put up slightly but all offers were way over ask . Back to HBR , stuck around 400 it seems , would like to see a rebound above the 200ma to be fair and above 410 even better as most volume this year traded around there. In effect the real volume based 200ma equivalent.

All very boring to me as Enquest's report showed strong debt reduction in their latest presentation , and I would have thought the equivalent in the right proportion is happening to HBR. Yet we had a strong price retrace . Things appear to be on target to me so find it strange price wise

We don't really want Gas at 400 or Brent at 120 that clearly impacts all , yet current levels are far more sustainable for all and profitable for HBR ! I just want to see the firm build a cash pile and move assets out of our commie country where the wealthy and wealth creators are berated . Invest in favourable jurisdictions and two fingers up to any of the 2 parties who think high taxes are the solution to their incompetence and lazy electorate bloated on handouts and always wanting more . They never want less have you noticed that ? All are starving apparently in London poorer areas yet all I see is fat and obese people . Mystery to me .

I selected for my divis to be re-invested so for once I would rather the share did not move or fall hahah did I write that ? Till the divis have been turned into more shares. Its not a huge amount , couple of ks only . But will leave me at not much of a different in terms of average . Around 400p and not too happy at all. I was expecting to be closer to 1000p than 400p
How on earth is current Brent and Gas not seen as amazing and on track for debt cancellation . Q1 2023 and its all gone or close

Boom time now ! The stock about to rally ? That inflation level 0.1% down made markets tank at first but seems that it was an over reaction . Oil distillates super low and crude high but reason behind was low refinery rates !

Yes nothing really tells me in the supply side that OIl will be found in great abundance cheaply or that loads of projects have been sanctioned . So from the supply side I see no worries. In fact the SPR will come to an end , Russia's sanctions kick in end of month and it seems like the majors are not over committing. On the demand side the inventory data globally and not the much publicised US ones are all down .

Yet Enquest falls when Brent cash is at 95$ . Contagion from the overall equity risk off day and week but if anything this stock should not see such a correlation as its an inflation hedge. Oil has always been Forget gold etc . As US real rates are positive.
So with that in mind and given the beta of Enquest seeing the stock down 4.5% today really hurts . But such is the market
