Well had hoped to be reading positive news during my long journey this morning to Liverpool, but this seems a dire situation. To me, it would now be sensible for Zaza to release an RNS recognising the resignation and saying that the process to appoint a new Nomad is in hand. It would be good (perhaps!) if he could also state the reason for the resignation, but that may not be possible. Thoughts from our more knowledgeable posters on the above would be appreciated.

As an FRR director his duty is to support solely the best interests of FRR period. The normal protocol would be for him to declare his conflict if interest when the subject came up and then not partake in the discussion and not vote.

So we were investigated by the FCA in 2017 and 'cleared' in 2018.

How will they respond to this? Do they need to release an RNS on Monday?

You can never be 100% sure of winning. It seems that we are in a much more precarious position than it appeared a week ago. The 5m seller, considerably stepped up his selling yesterday, despite getting less money for his sales. It appears he knows/knew more than us and so, could be insider dealing. At this stage Monday morning could be very very depressing. Fingers firmly crossed for an out if court settlement over the weekend.

Having looked, for the first time, at Tom Winnifrith's twitter account, it is clearly a stream of self centred abusive bile. Moreover, there are a number of slanderous messages purely designed to rob innocent investors of their hard earned to line his own pockets and harm companies and their employees and families. Given he is not afraid to show his face it strikes me as surprising one of his (presumably many) victims, hasn't decided to take revenge as the FCA seem to fail to protect his innocent victims. Just an observation/opinion.

Indeed Daniel. I hope that some of the impatient posters recently now understand that there is a reason why sometimes the news flow is slow. I hope that it is as clear cut as SN's affadavit but it would be interesting to see the defence ... if there is one. And a big 'thank you' to Starrage for digging this document out.

Zeps: it is certainly safer to sell, but it would be a win for TW if you and Puddy are selling now owing to the anchor's misinformation.

The 5m man is accelerating his share dumping; is that five so far today and a combination of his sales and the TW claim means that he is getting less and less money for his shares. So why is he rushing? It is almost as if he has to sell them by a deadline ...

can we drop this referendum thread? I know there isn't much to talk about on FRR now and we all have strong views on Brexit (second vote please!) but we see it all the time elsewhere in the news and to have the depressing argument spilling over on to here is unwarranted ... this place should be reserved for depression relating solely to the current sp.
