Just one point to correct: in the second paragraph you mention Hope voting against loans. Frr's lawyers confirmed verbally at the injunction hearing that he had not voted against any loans. This revelation confirms that they were always going to fail, not only in the injunction application, but in all likelihood in the main action, so one would have thought it would be withdrawn now to save further expense. JMO

RR: my understanding was that once the shares were ineligible to be in the ISA that was it. It would be great if they could be transferred back on a relisting; what makes you think that this might be allowed?

Shafqut: we are all in the same boat on this one except we all realised this many months ago!
To be honest, at this point I will be delighted to feel the frustration of having to pay CGT on the element of my holding that was in my ISA!!!

Serge: to be fair to FSHG they have said before on here (and on ii) that they had tried to contact Zaza and had had no response.
So if you don't have time to read all the posts on here then it isn't fair to expect them to have time to keep repeating that for your benefit - no offence intended.

Apologies for the delay but I now have the details on the 'IG paying out on shorts' headline.

Basically anyone with a long or short position with IG is charged overnight interest on their position. When a stock is suspended or delists this continues. All IG stocks are held with a custodian (HSBC). HSBC have decided to stop charging the overnight charge on FRR and so IG are stopping doing the same to their holders of open positions. To achieve this the positions will be booked out at zero and the funds moved to a proceeds account. This will not be accessible to customers. If the stock relists the appropriate monies will be credited/debited to this proceeds account and the resultant profit or demand given to the customer. If there is a dividend paid it does not affect any of this. So, those with open positions are not being affected at all in effect other than they will stop being charged the daily interest charge.
Shorters have therefore been paying a daily interest charge to IG for almost six months ... I don't recall them boasting about that on ADVFN ... :).

Must confess that, as Timster says, it would be good (I hope!) to see the declaration.

What a day! Initially Taffy's swift summary of what he had read quickly posted for those of us hungry for information bringing on despair, certainly for me, followed by a reading of the document (again courtesy of the wonderful Taffy) and the spotting of that transformational sentence.
Which leaves us all to sleep a lot better tonight.
I hope that we can all get to look back on first thing this morning as rock bottom, over a glass or three at some point in the not so distant future.

Presumably now is the time for the Company to speak to us and explain whether there is any future.

Pophead: bugsy pointed out that in the agreement we are permitted to move the assets without the GG approval so the ADVFN idiot is incorrect.

Mijas: I am on to my contact at IG so will hopefully find out exactly why anything has changed. Will let you know what he says.

So the monetary sanctions aren't just the totting up of Hope's legal bill for us to pay?

Taffy: dreadful news but as expected tbh. What we don't know is what the implications of this decision are; how serious. Is this a final nail in the coffin or yet another bump in the road?

It's certainly fair to assume that they will still be interested in the gas. The question is whether we will still be around (and have the rights to the asset) to strike a deal.

RR: hmmm ... had feeling you would not be a member of the 'less is more' brigade ...!

It could be that he was doing ok in the Caymans but California is a different kettle of fish. So if we survive long enough perhaps he will start to squirm now and go for an oocs.
