Good morning all
Have just caught up on a lot of positive posts from yesterday evening, presumably triggered by the blue day. Here's hoping we are almost there and get over the line with a deal, or preferably two.
The trading yesterday was interesting and possibly significant imo as we got out of the .40s and, despite there being a few sizeable round figure sales, there wasn't a 15m sale (unless I missed it!). This meant that the sp actually was left to do what it should, ie reflect the trades and there was the positive of the 25m buy, which was the main reason for the blue day. That could have been short closing and, if it was the start of them throwing in the towel then there could be a lot more to come and the sp could start to rise quickly, even in the absence of news.
So a positive end to the week all round.
Have a good weekend all; I am off to St Mary's today and we need to start scoring some goals. The weather is favouring the Toon though as it is FRReezing!

Mad: is that correct? Often news is released before the market opens, so if there is an RNS here at 7am it is also before the market opens in the US ...?

Can I just second WHamBoy with thanks for the great posts yesterday evening. I have only been able to watch the interview this morning and have some thoughts on which it would be good to know what others' takes are?
What was the reason for this to be done now? Zaza has been on an sp charm offensive recently, starting with the shareholder update and now with this update. Inbetween there was the YA agreement RNS and there was definitely a focus in the wording re the positive effect this should (rightly) have on the sp.
It seems to me that currently especially Zaza wants the sp higher; yet with a deal (hopefully) imminent, why should he be bothered?
At the same time we have the 15m seller, whose actions seem to be focussed on holding the sp back. If he was purely wanting to sell, then why do it in the fashion he is? So for me, as Mole has suggested, he has an agenda for keeping the sp down in this range maybe for a weighted average reason.
The only reason for that that I can think of, coupled with Zaza seemingly doing everything to bolster the sp now, is that there is pricing being determined for a fund raising. But, that would be surprising surely, given what is going on so I would really appreciate other guys thoughts on this?

Cheers Star. You are correct and when I was driving home I was thinking the same then read your post. I think I was just getting the 'heavily invested wobbles' that seem to affect all us long termers periodically. I am over them now :). GLAdys

Star: I hope you're right; it is just that imo it is very difficult to keep such a secret but Devex (who seems to have knowledge of NDAs) has posted to the effect that they are very tight ships. Just my paranoia I guess!

Without wanting to state the bleeding obvious, in such a thin market the 15m seller is able to hold the sp down. Indeed today he only needed to sell 5m to achieve that. All the believers are all in and there aren't any newbies. I am surprised that there isn't any leakage going on generating some buying though, which, to be honest is my only area of worry with FRR.

I do love the phrase 'increase revenues by over a $1 billion' as it just shows the scale of this resource.

And yet we have a market cap of c60m ... bonkers!
