Last time price was this low was Nov 2022, just coming out of covid and still repaying covid loans and with no divi declared. Didn't pay divi all of 2023 and price rose above this. So long as they keep divi, and profits don't drop below their revised range, can't see this staying so low. Here's hoping.

Agreed @Wiscos . Here's going they all approval to extend but back scheme while price low: is support that over a divi this year I think, unless it's a particularly juicy divi but doesn't seem likely atm.

it's the business model: come in cheap, even loss making, until your competitors die off because they can't compete, then when you're the main game in town raise prices to where they were before, or higher. it's called en****ification. same with uber, netflix, amazon, deliveroo etc.

Forget the Chinese, what about the Americans? Lot of shops struggle to compete with Amazon who have no store fronts, pay marginal taxes and cut costs by pushing staff to legal and ethical limits?

I'm setting up a wood and Co account now. Sent the 1 usd payment from my Santander account and got told they use a third party for Usd exchanges, and whilst Santander don't charge for the transfer the third party MAY apply a fee for changing into usd, which might be big enough to wipe out the transfer overall (so I guess a minimum fee more than 1 usd to make the exchange). They said I could send it or send a larger amount, 50 usd, to make sure payment gets past any fees. I said just send it and see what happens and in my case it seems it was fine, but perhaps your bank used a party that charges high fees?

Still waiting for AIX to reply with details to make sale. Will update here if I manage to sell them.

I assume the reason living wage is so much higher than pensions is that you have more costs in your early life, like buying a house, having children, saving into a pension pot etc. that most pensioners do not have. Also, state pension is not sole source of income for pensioners, as some have private pensions or property/investment income. A pensioner couple will both have pensions, but not all working families will have both in full-time employment, especially when children are young. Finally, pensioners can go out an get a job if they want to, where they too would benefit from higher wages. The NI decision last year was a terrible one for business, and this budget hasn't been great either, so there's enough to criticise without pointing out disparities that actually make sense.

Thanks harryh94, can you tell me if you got even close to the price being quoted on tabys (5.5/5.6), or did it still at much lower? Don't need to know exact numbers, Just if it's a big haircut from those I might not bother.

Does anyone have any experience of brokers who take UK customers and trade on Aix? If like to get access to trading again and was looking at freedom and Halyk finance, but don't know anything about either. Any advice or experience appreciated.

Email investor relations. You don't need to be kz citizen to have tabys as I have one. They sent out an email at the time of delisting about how to set it up as a non kz citizen, but think you needed to email investor relations for a code or instructions or something.

Flatliner, quick look at your posting history shows you think every stock you post on is going down for different specifically bad reasons. You shorting these all, just bad at picking stocks, or only posting when things are going bad, not when doing well?

The gamestop squeeze worked because the shorts covered several times more shares than the company actually had. This meant essentially the whole company had to be bought and traded then rebought to close the positions. When the owners of the shares refused to sell (diamond hands) this caused panic as there was a cost to holding the short position as well.

This isn't the situation here at all, so don't think it can be game stopped.

Correct me if I'm wrong here Billybob, but I thought the NI threshold is being raised from £5,000 to £10,500, to offset the higher rate. That's why they said 50% of businesses will pay no more than now. You seem to be implying it's going from 9100 down to 5000, so everyone will pay more. Where did you get those numbers from?

Many companies with buy backs have that as they sold their assets for next to nothing, some as low as for £1, just to get out of there. Poly sold for a debt restructuring worth hundred of millions of pounds. Hardly think the buyers would also take on an option to sell at a loss to poly within 3 years if things go well
