Vegnor, yes I played rugby and enjoyed immensely, the suffering of the lesser gifted.
And like share trading, if you step across the white line, you deserve what comes your way, good or bad, without whining about "they" or "them" being out to get you.
Public moaning is bad form.
I assume from your post, you played hand ball. Messy game that.
Despite that, I too have been fortunate in my trades here. I have posted my movents for the cult members to follow and verify.
In all seriousness, this volitility has been a boon. You just have to make sure that your stakes are within walk away limits. At one point I had £106k in this which is far too much. Now I limit to £30k total stake when invested.
Next touch to 50 will see me back in play.
Good luck and mind your marbles.
Your hero,

Really enjoyed this thread.
While I'm always amused by the lesser sentient ranting that their personal disasters are the cause of some conspiracy by the infamous "they" cartel, or that the market makers have bugged their laptops and go out of their way to destroy them, I cannot escape the knowing enjoyment that anyone who investment personal fortunes in oil shares deserves a kicking.
There are ways even an 'unlucky' investors/ cult members here could have reduced average prices for their holdings by 20% by selling out and reinvesting on the dips without adding more cash.
Heres a salute with my first cup of coffee today for helping me smile into an easy Friday...
Drink the koolaid
I love these... Great rant. Absolutely hilarious...
Most messages here are like letters from the Titanic. More awkward position here than the karma sutra but that is oil under the bridge. The panic monkees dominate the BB here.
Questions to be considered:
How low is low?
For chartists, 42p is the next resistance level. Not that this is bot driven. It looks likely given negative sentiment.
Question 2: Assuming 42p at bottom, what is the bid range?
60p is the new 100p...
From yesterdays conference call we learned that they don't need to cash call, they have no immediate plans to hire a CEO and independent audits of the assets are 95% reported for due diligence.. this thing is on the block.
There is significant opportunity within the daily volitility to gain on this or at least improve poor positions...
Good luck
With no CEO in place,
Best conversation I've seen on this site.
I concur re diligence and it will be interesting to see how shorts are played in the next few weeks.
Got lucky bailing out this morning here.
Might have another look tomorrow. This thing likes a bounce.
Hope it does. And it probably will..
Hope it does. And it probably will..
Nice pick up here. Thought it would spike from the off but no.
Still, a gain is a gain.
Adiós
My mind is made up and it's that playing the market flux is the only way to win here. Missed the bottom but not worried about max low and high. Very happy with a quick 10% this week... But I'll take 5%.
The company has been sh,;t and is now rudderless and will either fold under debt load or get bought out and stripped... It has no independent recovery play.
In the meantime there is money to be made.
Short term. Not day trading but finger on the trigger.
Looking at 10% take... We shall see...
Good gains today on news good speculation. Some relief for the very longs here and well played.
Still watching from the touchline.
Aunson Jen to me...
Tenxent is up about 8 or 9 % on the HKX this year to date.
Tlw is on about -6% counting today's gains in the same time frame.
While illistrative, it is the risk of capital that is the real difference.
Aunson, I'll type slow so you can follow this,. I like the risk reward ratio of Tencent better than I do the play on TLW for myain investments profile.
Glad to see this gain today but I'm not envious.
Here's Hopin. As you probably noticed, shorts have increased and the price has dropped 15 % in the past two weeks. I pulled out my larger investment here to protect gains. As the price fell off this week, I decided that a small gain is better than no gain. If you find that contradictory and are willing to absorb losses to stay invested then good.
Jen,
My claim is that I prefer the risk to reward coefficient of Tencent to that of tullow.
Tullow may very well indeed cash out at twice today's closing price at the end of Jan. The information I'm getting is to stay close to this.
The Iran thing is a bonus and probably not going to substantially affect things long term 2-3 years.
I've got about 10k set aside to play with Tullow and I honestly thing that I can get better than 50p buy in after the Tu on the 15 Jan. If I don't, I'm not suicidal.
If you need to compare black cats and claim yours is blacker than mine then crack on Jen....
Aunson,
I'm quite happy to see this rise today and break the momentum of six straight losing sessions.
Its now in the region of where I sold out (58.6p) earlier this week having bought lower (53.4p) and I don't lament bailing.
As I've mentioned here, I went further into tencent 0700 on the Hong Kong exchange which seems much less risk
Still have some dosh set aside for another punt at this but I think post 15 Jan tu may bring better opportunity to buy.
Good luck to you and your Ouija board technique for investment.
And a nice touch before the weekend...
OFP
I hold no position here and I am vulturing around for a dead cat to feed on.
But this drop today is proportional with oil futures contracts falling upwards of 4% today on reduced M/E tensions.
Absolutely no solace for those cult members here who refuse to sell and reposition but it is logical to the market.
Interesting day tomorrow.
In the hands of mad men...
OFP
If you are absolutely convinced on this, one strategy is to step out and buy back lower, which isn't difficult to do. The percentage of pi shareholders is insignificant and not a market force so you are not driving the price down by shipping a 100k shares and buying them back 10p cheaper.
I'm happy to jump back in here when I think we've bottomed.
Painful to watch you long term guys fixated on this and not playing this market.
Each to their own.
OFP
Same logic still applies... Bail out, buy back lower.
Some chartists plotting 42 resistance if 56 breaks.
I don't think this share is relevant to chatting but many do.
I think only positive news will shift this upwards until take out.
Best of luck.
