In all honesty Sage and BV, I became disillusioned when GL announced that we suddenly needed £12m for SFB and the SP tanked accordingly.
I did average down as far as possible and just managed to nip in with a sell today to make a whopping....2% profit!
(Now just need to deal with my UJO shares, which are 57% down and RBD, which are currently 75% underwater).

I am not going to say anything negative about this share or the BoD, as there are plenty here who do that already. For no reason other than to troll genuine shareholders as far as I can tell.

It really isn't as difficult as you make it sound Persimmon.
Buy a CHP unit sized to suit the export potential, use the gas to fire the engine and use the excess heat to feed into a local LTHW ring for district heating if required.
The one I have at work is a combined 188kw of heat and power and that is just a tiny unit.
These can be sourced to be heat or power led, depending on your requirements.
Once the G59 cert is in place, it is a 24/7 money making machine.
Although the grid will only pay roughly 50% of what it sells the electricity at.

There are some nice properties in Ponta do Sol and reasonably priced.

We tend to use a lovely hotel in Sao Pedro as our base, but last visit we gave quinta do Lourde a go and weren't disappointed. It made a good base for house hunting in the north.
Generally speaking, any hotel west of Read's palace we avoid because too touristy.
Best espitada on the island is in Santo Antonio by the way.

That photo in the article is from the 'Grutas' in Sao Vicente, which is an interesting afternoon out and highly educational in how the islands were formed if you are into volcanology and geology.

They do still get the occasional tremor, but nothing that worries them. Its the floods and forest fires that really worry them.
