500,000 ounces was the top-of-the-range forecast of the 2012 report for Clogau and the Dolgellau gold field, a figure the media have cited in reporting on Alba's progress, most notably the Daily Telegraph and the Times.
The gold, of high grade, commanding a substantial premium over the spot gold price, is there and Alba is working to locate it and extract it.
It's not something that can happen overnight (unless someone stubs his toe against a nugget!), but it does mean that Alba's current market cap is a pittance by comparison to its potential (and it's possible the 500k ounce figure will itself need to revised upwards).
So, imho, it's a question of enjoying the journey and admiring the scenery while Alba advances along the route.
