Think UKOG management is showing signs of having become more market "savvy".

They've got the market guessing about the timing of the next placing and they wrong-footed TW this last Monday: his article was certainly premature and may prove to be quite simply wrong.

Having got this far without a fundraise, the precise timing of the next placing has now become anybody's guess.

It will be in the "near" future, that is for sure, and could be any time, but does "any time" fall in the coming week, or the week after that, or the week after that, etc?

Oil companies like 'encouraging' as it gives an excuse to 1) delay the bad news, and 2) drill another well delaying the bad news even longer.

Nothing very scientific in my own guesstimate, but am looking for a range of between about 0.80 and 1.10p.

For a long time, the share price always bounced off 0.80-0.85p.

When it fell through this support, it fell in an almost continuous straight line to the low of a few months ago.

When the market comes to reassess UKOG's prospects, am looking for it to mirror that fall and head up in an almost continuous straight line to the previous support and probably overshoot it by a margin.

Some of my unfiltered derampers have gone a bit quiet, wondering if some may not have bought in.

50-day moving average is at 0.218p (200-day at 0.169p).

Not sure what the naysayers are trying to achieve by being negative on a stock when it is so low. In stock market terms, it makes more sense to be negative when a stock is high.

Anybody going short at these levels (or taking an equivalent position) risks being wiped out should the stock now begin to rally significantly.

Google has just brought up a market cap of $160.74bn for the Istanbul stock exchange (but hasn't specified the date).

If UKOG's campaign is successful and generates interest in Turkey, maybe a secondary listing might be considered, (I've no idea of the costs).

It's not just that UKOG's UK wells failed to meet expectations, it's also the time (and, therefore, money) involved in arriving at those disappointing results.

UKOG can't do very much about HH and Broadford Bridge, but it can do something about the time-delays and their cost.

It, therefore, makes a great deal of sense for UKOG to turn its focus towards a country which positively encourages onshore exploration and seeks to reduce the regulatory burden to a minimum.
