You've got to be in it to win it. I can remember UKOG more than quadrupling during the course of a single session.

Given that the downside risk appears to be strictly limited at the present time, the risk/reward ratio looks very attractive.

Increasing signs of the arrival of cheap buyers - they are very welcome!

In favour of the derampers is that there is nothing subtle about their approach, they are upfront and cannot be confused for anything else.

A more subtle approach would attempt to show some objectivity from time to time before criticising one thing and then another and then another, ...

The detractors like to argue that because UKOG has failed in the past, it will fail in the future.

But the same argument can be employed to say that because UKOG's share price has risen dramatically in the past, it will rise dramatically in the future.

I'm not sure of either argument is convincing, but they are equally valid.

Highly unlikely, given UKOG's chequered past history (but that is only my opinion).

re my point 2/ below:

the fact that UKOG did not release any additional information during the open offer to help make it a success does imply a real confidence in Basur-3.

Judging from the end result, it looks as if:
1/ UKOG were seeking to get the placing and open offer away before any further news from Basur-3;
2/ the open offer was for funds surplus to their near and medium-term requirements, given that they released no additional information during the offer to help make it a success.

For myself, it is wrong to compare those 2 sets of percentages: that for Rodders Jones was in support of his negative stance towards management; those at the AGM were in relation to the AGM resolutions of a listed company where it is almost unheard of that 100% of shareholders cast their votes.

Yes, there have been open offers where virtually nothing has been raised, because the share price fell away during the offer. There is nothing guaranteed about open offers, it all depends on the performance of the share during the offer.

I don't seek to filter all negative voices, so 60% of filtered posts may well mean about 75% of all posts are currently negative.

Rodders Jones garnered support for his negative stance from about 7.15% of shareholders.

Negative posters are, therefore, currently over-represented on this board vis-a-vis shareholders by about 10 times.

15 filtered posts on this page, that's 60% of the posts.

I don't think some of the detractors can give it a rest - the need to criticise is stronger than they are.
