The Company has had further discussions with West Sussex County Council and has indicated its intention to appeal the WSCC Planning Committee's decision to reject our application for a short well test against the Officers' recommendation to approve. Angus will be making its appeal to the Planning Inspectorate and is presently preparing its statement of case. (yesterday's RNS from Angus)

This will take time, of course, but the initial flow indications from Balcombe were encouraging and certainly merited follow-up testing, so it is welcome news that Angus will be seeking to defend their interests and those of their partners.

And if you're not in, then maybe now, just after the disappointment of yesterday's news, is a good time to think about doing so.

Upon commitment to the DDSPP, which is expected to occur in the open period following the publication of UKOG's interim results, due on or before June 30(th) , 2021, the director will purchase shares from the market on the first Friday of each month for a period of 12 months. Consequently, the first DDSPP purchase is expected to occur on Friday July 2(nd) , 2021 and the final purchase on Friday June 3(rd) , 2022.

If the DDSPP has been postponed by a month, it is, therefore, this Friday that the first purchases should be made.

Got into the habit of clicking on "strong buy", but my opinion of yesterday is "buy".

Yesterday's RNS showed that management were right to go for the placing when they did.

At the time, I was hoping they would wait another week or 10 days, in order to see the share price go higher (if you remember, it closed firmly at 0.24p on the Friday before the placing RNS).

Under the agreement with AME, costs above the cap of $5m will be split 50:50 between the 2 partners.

So 0.1402p = 0.12% of the launch price so the launch price = 0.1402/0.12 x 100 = 116.83p.

Doesn't look right to me.

If you're going to encounter this kind of problem, I suppose the best time to do it is when you have just raised nearly £5.5m.

Just for you, Cornsland, I'm downgrading my opinion from strong buy to buy (provided I remember to click in the right place!)

PS: UKOG have been fortunate in that, by holding back most of their funding until the placing, they've been able to take advantage of the strengthening of the £ against the $ and thereby reduce the £ cost of their investment.

Reminder that UKOG's 100% funding of the drill and seismic is capped at $5m beyond which level the spend is split 50:50 with AME.

Given that they've got to sidetrack, they are seeking to take every precaution to derisk it.

I thought you had filtered me!

I post "STRONG BUY" because I believe UKOG to be a strong buy.

The share price is very low and lower still on this morning's RNS. It takes no account of the possibility of (delayed) success with the Basur-3 well and success with the Loxley appeal.

Any sign of success should entail a change of UKOG's market image and a substantial re-rating of the share price.
