Nobody knows who will replace Truss but, if the party seeks to come together, fracking is likely to drop down the list of priorities (we saw last night in the Commons that it is a divisive issue for Conservative MPs).

There's still about 2 years until the next election, so still time to make an impact.

Let's hope the Conservative make a wiser choice this time.

If Truss goes, then it is likely the cabinet will change, too. Nobody can know in advance whether Rees-Mogg will retain his role &/or the government's approach to fracking will remain the same.
