Identifies 2 culprits:

1/ "the proliferation of green policies and regulations, which create new hurdles";

2/ the politicians:

"The government is supposed to update its National Policy Statements to take into account new policies and changing priorities. It's not happening. The NPS on electricity generation, for instance, was published in 2011 and assumed that coal was still a significant contributor ...".

On the rival site, iceagefarmer has posted a couple more recent articles underlining the gap between potential graphite demand and current supply.

The conditions are all there for a real squeeze on the price of graphite and of spherical graphite for EV batteries.

Nobody knows exactly when this squeeze will begin to come through in prices but it should have a very big impact on GROC and Alba when it does.

Alba Comment

Alba has not participated in the GreenRoc Placing as the funds raised in the recent Alba fundraise (see the Alba RNS of 10 November 2022) have been earmarked for operational preparations and feasibility studies at the Clogau-St David's Gold Mine as well as due diligence costs and option fees in respect of new, value-enhancing project acquisitions which are being actively pursued. Alba may, however, elect to participate in future GreenRoc funding rounds. Upon completion of the GreenRoc Placing, Alba's shareholding in GreenRoc will be 50.76%.

It may take time to develop, but their graphite project looks to be a potentially very valuable one.

Towards the end (13:45): "at Amitsoq, we know we have a very high quality graphite and we have a lot of it".

If you look at the old mine adit on the 3D model, it is absolutely dwarfed by the size of the lower graphite layer.

And this is Amitsoq. Later in the video SB speaks of a graphite "district", to include some of their findings from neighbouring areas.

It may take time to develop, but their graphite project looks to be a potentially very valuable one.

Note, too, that they have still to delineate the full extent of the deposit, which remains open to the North and the West (if I remember right).

Makes one wonder what the "very significant upgrade" of Amitsoq will translate into.

Europe will need to import “huge volumes” of liquefied natural gas next year to make up for severely curtailed Russian flows, according to commodities giant Trafigura Group.

To attract LNG away from other regions, gas prices in Europe will need to remain elevated, the trading house said in its annual results. Security of supply will remain an issue beyond next winter.

“We expect gas and LNG markets to remain volatile,” Trafigura said. “While Europe should avoid a blackout this winter by drawing on inventories and cutting demand, it will need to import huge volumes of LNG in 2023 given the massive reduction in flows from Russia.” ...
