Because the sole reason for its suspension is its failure to comply with the deadline for the publication of its annual results, 31/03 (and not 28/03).

My guess would be that SS sought to reduce audit fees in a cost-reduction exercise but, in the process, limited the time available to the new auditors in which to do their work. It would be nice to know their name.

Agreed, GD1962. You can't appoint auditors without informing shareholders, the auditors are there to report back to shareholders.

Auditors are answerable to shareholders, not management. PKF Littlejohn were reappointed at the last AGM of 29/05/24.

The Directors of UK Oil & Gas PLC (London AIM: UKOG) announce that due to additional time being required by its auditors, appointed earlier this year, its annual report and accounts for the year ended 30 September 2024 ("ARA") will not be published by 31 March 2025, being the deadline for publication under Rule 19 of the AIM Rules for Companies. Trading will, therefore, be temporarily suspended from 7:30 am on 1st April 2025 until such time as the ARA is published, which will be as soon as possible.
