Agreed, there’s no doubt an RNS is on it’s way to confirm / dispute the many possibilities re ConserV. 10% seems unlikely, but yes agreed it’d be a % of a larger pot of intellectual property. Note ConserV tweet this morning re other vaccine news (non COVID). Has to be a matter of days rather than weeks until we get some clarity on this.
‘ConserV Bioscience and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory to Collaborate on Development of Broad-spectrum Coronavirus Vaccine’ . They’re working with / via a Innovate UK and SBRI funding (uk gov funding agency)...... would a SPAC be involved in that sort of set up.... wondering if OO share of Imutex has been sold rather than spun out ...
Christo, possibly but we don’t know either way. However, it’s run too long for CF to not have to comment / be questioned at the next available opportunity. I actually think the approval will come because of the volume of unanswered questions the CMO/PV/JCVI will want answered on vaccine comparison across subsets of the population, especially if we learnt of a variant not covered by one or more of the available vaccines.

Apologies, missed this at first pass - thanks for confirming. Agreed on the follow-up link too, looks likely to be SPAC. Exciting times for all LTH.
Monday's trades will be interesting !!
Great find. Companies house has Kimbell listed as CEO and one other 'officer' by the name of Mr Richard John Huston 'investor'. Tried to identify this individual but not come up with anything so far...anyone heard of / know his background?
Good question re all of the IP the company owns / is developing. Not all of that comes from OO...Will be interesting to see how this is all packaged together and listed/not. Does anyone think this won't be a SPAC listing.... Is there a possibility that OO has just sold the IP behind Imutex and the news to come is a divi? Personally I've always been hopeful of a SPAC / receipt of a new set of shares
The real answer is probably something incredibly boring, I.e he’s busy. However, just throwing it out (cue outrage), it’s a pandemic, he’s moved to London...COVID? Obviously hope not, and an RNS lands in the morning but just saying - possible.
Not sure today is the day unless you’ve some insight?? Though only 11 trading days of Jan remain...
Re time, there isn’t much. 13 trading days. CF made it abundantly clear that January was THE month that at least 1/3 big ticket items would land. Nothing to suggest that that isn’t the case, so personally I see the current Investco situation as a boon to PIs who want to get in (or up) pre news
Disagree. It’s not fluff, it just didn’t give you what you wanted today. A fair question however would be, when is the following going to land / order:
3rd facility
Wearables
Imutex and/or Prep funder/buyer
January has been touted by OO on some if not all of the above as possible. Today is the 11th. 14 trading days to go in the month. Either you believe one of these will land this month, in which case you’ve not long at all to top up and lock in, or you don’t believe these will land with material benefit to the SP in Jan and it’s probably best to sit out to avoid regular disappointment at other RNSs (which still hold material benefit / value btw).
Separate matter for anyone with ideas - is there anything to suggest that the contract with Codagenix could include bonus income should the trial be successful. Eg commission. I assume not, but just a thought.
Completely agree earache, and worth picking up on. The more clarity OO give on this subject in Q1 the better.
I agree Peter, though given we are where we are, I wonder if anyone's sentiment has changed on the SP potential here. Note: SP potential (not company potential). Even pre December, it's clear that there's a disconnect between company versus SP performance because so far we haven't had a 'concrete' line in the sand confirming profitability. We know news news news will continue to flow, but until A) a rerate similar to the government contract announcement or B) a profit / results statement comes, we're just treading water and I wonder if that makes anyone think twice about the SP long term, as it could happen again all be it on a higher plateau ? For my own view, I'm happy because I never intended to be out until late summer 2021 when I believe a likely takeover may happen, but others will have shorter (or longer) timelines in mind
Do we know when results day is likely to be..?
Perhaps based on CF's repeated statements that ORPH won't be fundraising, and that Prep is to be sold AND RM's statement that a P2 study will be undertaken, the answer could be that Prep is rolled up into a package with Imutex for Nasdaq listing. Prep, Mosq Saliva and Flu-V combined makes for a big investment opportunity (for others).
Personal preference in the long term interest of OO would be the initial post re you have to be in by 07:00 previous day. Potential for bad blood if OO try and draw it out. Given CF is locked in until sale or 2022, I think that seems more likely for any possible January announcement
I agree with the previous post, SGS does seem a plausible host given the commercial aspects mentioned by CF eg break clauses. If the SP is being deliberately held back then the only logical reason is prep for takeover is it not? Though I’m not sure if this is accurate either. Why keep the price low unless you’re looking for an escape route and why look for an escape route if there’s such a market (which there is) for OO services.
Any attempt to control the SP could be down to paranoia of spikes and troughs. Though again....really?
My guess is half as good as anyone else’s as to what’s going on here, but I struggle to see why CF would want to squash the price at this stage.
Other things I’d like a view on are:
Current value in the broker notes is for 1 facility. If / when could OO get a new broker note to reflect what’s really here?
Imutex: CF seemed clear that he wants NASDAQ listing, not cash sale. Personally I would be DELIGHTED with that and let’s see if it runs wild. There was also a hint of Prep being bundled in...?
Venn recent contract: rns stated the COVID study would involve combination of 2 treatments.....could one be Prep....?
Perfect - that's what I'd hoped for. Thanks all. Is anyone aware of any precursors we could look to on this route to market for similar assets and the likely value Imutex could go to on NASDAQ? Noticed 4D pharma's recent SPAC announcement - though appreciate that may well be quite a different kettle of fish
Thanks Peter & Barwick. Apologies, but I'll follow-up with another stupid question (sorry for my ignorance) - but supposing this goes through, do ORPH holders receive their share (whether that be 7.5p or 22p or somewhere between as a fixed cash payment, or is that the value of the shares they hold in the new vehicle on NASDAQ and they can continue to stay onboard if they wish? Thanks for your thoughts
Hi, looking for a bit of a lesson in SPACs. Opinions welcome. Hypothetically, Imutex could be spun out into a SPAC in the coming weeks/months. For the average ORPH holder - how does this work / what does this mean? For example:
1. If you hold 1 share in ORPH, you'd get 1 share in the SPAC (or ??)
2. As an ORPH holder, would further investment be required to hold a position in the SPAC or is this a given as you're in ORPH?
3. In lay terms, what is the process by which Imutex holders would learn of the value of their share of the SPAC and how soon / not could you increase your share or exit?
Any input on the mechanics of how this could play out (in the case of ORPH / Imutex) would be welcome discussion
The event starts at 18:00 but does anyone know what time Cathal is starting at?
Agreed that the SP won't break the current ceiling without confirmation of results/developments but I disagree completely with all the woe on the board today. True its a red day - but track the bottom and it's been consistently climbing (albeit slowly) for some time now. Progress is being made. If you're not a day trader, you're in the right place.
