At this rate Luceco could exceed the new Peel Hunt target of 96p sometime this week! I wonder why they have downgraded their target - were they expecting better results than were announced?

There was a big U/T yesterday at where it looks like somebody attempted to buy over 1 million shares. One of the 1st transactions this morning was an automatic sell of a single share! What is this all about? I agree that the whole market is depressed, but I'm gambling on a decent upturn in the next 6 months.

These look good value at 437p. Hoping the shares will take off and fly above £5 before the end of the year.

I've just bought some at 75p. Hoping it will climb back over 100p in the next few weeks but might take a few months. The whole market is down with some stocks trading at attractive prices. The trick is to predict the bottom and buy in then.

I sold about half my shares a couple of days ago for 797p. The shares cost 799p including costs, so made a tiny loss on price and the dividend just kept the investment positive. I also believed that RPC would have come good and would be worth over 1000p per share, but BOD seem to want out of the business.

The share price would drop further in the short-term if rejecting the sub 800p offer and booting the CEO. Ultra parted with their CEO in 2017 and the share plummeted by around 30%. The share still hasn't recovered to the pre-crash price of 1800p even after 15 months...

I've just jumped in again with a small purchase at 111.3p with reasonable confidence that I won't lose money (this time). Previously bought into Saga at around 190p before the plunge and took a hit and bailed out at 121p.

Hoping it is oversold and we'll see it back up above 120p by the end of the month.

I bought some shares at 5.37p this morning to bring the average purchase price down from 37p to under 25p. I didn't want to throw good money after bad, but this looked like the probability of a bounce was far greater than that of a total bust. One of my rules is doubt only to put 50% of investment money in. Hindsight is always 20/20 and now I'm wishing I had doubled up on the buy this morning!

Just received the dividend into my account this morning. The longer they take to arrange a shareholder vote on the better to give other interested parties a chance to make a counter offer.

Maybe some of the competitors thought the RPC deal was going ahead at 900p plus, so might be looking at the low offer price and thinking of making a counter bid. Let's hope so!

It could have been worse - I paid over 900p for some shares back in 2017. Luckily during the takeover talks I sold some at 848p and bought back in at 791p. Sold more at 808p and bought back in at 747p to reduce my average purchase price to 800p.

Before takeover talks several brokers were forecasting a share price of >1000p, so it sounds like Apollo have scored a cheap deal. I don't see what benefit there is selling at this price, but the BOD are recommending the deal...

You cannot bare to be alone Petch? Do you prefer getting naked in public? :-) I'd have thought you are more of a bear than being bare!

I must give credit where credit is due - you correctly called the drop to 25p which I personally thought was wildly optimistic (or pessimistic depending on your viewpoint).

I'm more of an optimist and look at the current market as a buying opportunity. I'm tempted to top-up on Motif at around 25p but your contrarian posts are making me think long and hard whether to buy this or top-up one of the other shares in my portfolio...decisions, decisions!

RPC price still climbing nicely. Just sold the ones I bought last month at 747p for 808p. Still holding onto the majority and share price just crossed my average purchase price so another share in my portfolio is out of the red. Will top-up again if there is another reasonable dip before any news in December.

Although the new deadline is December, surely somebody will make an offer well before the 3rd deadline! Hoping for an offer price of over £10...

I sold my remaining LUCE shares at a big loss. Bought at 61p and sold at 43p earlier this month. I obviously don't like taking a loss, but sold these to top-up on my RPC holding. If LUCE continues to wallow and RPC get a decent offer within the next month I can use some of the profit on the RPC deal to buy back into LUCE at a lower entry point and hopefully this will cancel out the hit I took earlier this month.

I'm still concerned there hasn't been any more director buying activity - especially from the finance director when shares are below 40p so this could mean the news won't be that good in December...

What a difference a week makes! :-( Weir has gone all negative over the past 7 days. I was sitting on a 12%+ profit at 1800p and now the profit is down to below 5%. Still think this share is currently undervalued with all but 1 broker forecasting share going above 2000p. Only Numis were neutral on Weir with a forecast of 1800p.

Current bid is 42.1p but ask 4.5% higher at 44p. I'd be tempted to buy more at high 42's but the big spread is killing the deal.

There is over 5% volatility on the share price within a few hours. The day traders are going to have some fun for a bit longer. Could set-up a limit buy if share goes below say 777p and a limit sell if above 825p and bag 6% before dealing costs. Not bad if it works every couple of days...

I sold off the shares I bought at 44.7p for just over 48p last week, so at least I locked in a bit of profit this time and the price is virtually back to square 1. I bought some RPC shares instead. Still holding the original ones that I bought at 61p. Doesn't look as if anything exciting is happening here as the price is going in the wrong direction! Still believe there will be strong support at 40p from LUCE directors if it reaches that level again.

Furrycoat - I wasn't planning on buying any RPC shares today, but saw that RPC had dropped significantly. I decided to sell MDC shares at a tiny profit and jump into RPC when I saw RPC at below 740p. By the time MDC was sold and I'd bought RPC the share had already climbed to 747p. If I'd been looking to buy RPC today I'd have set-up an auto buy at about 777p, but I just got lucky with the timing to top up below 750p.

I've just done a small top-up at 747p. Surprised the price has dipped so much. I'm hoping it is a last ditch attempt for the shorters to drive the price down and hit some small investor's automatic "stop loss" on their RPC shares. I never expected to get a chance to get a top-up at below 750p today. If the deals come to nothing then I've reduced my average purchase price from 880p to around 820p and I'll just need to continue holding until they climb back up again...
