Good day longtime ? Did you get any dividends today - I'm not sure how often you get a pay out to offset all of the capital destruction/loss of opportunity etc whilst you're holding some of your dog turd companies ?

Not a UK bank but has a UK presence, not a time to be greedy on banks especially those with their own perceived problems.

On a lighter note the Dax will probably open around 30% down from a couple of weeks ago - so there are now some pretty good European funds going cheap that may be worth looking at as a safer way to average down.

you only listen to what you want to hear bigsulk - I've said the business model was outdated, expensive and that the results would be poor. I've said for months that the markets would go down and how would metro perform in the inevitable sell off.

Maybe I don't spend hours trawling through press cuttings to fill the BB with irrelevances to drown out what I don't want to see - but if people had listened to me rather than you they'd have a lot more money left...

I have 3.5k of metro, 10k lloyds and 15k RBS. Metro 1500 down LLOYDS and RBS are recent purchases. My short was 500k - do the maths.

At the risk of sending some on here in to meltdown, has anyone apart from me asked Sage Matlot whether he is holding these or not ?!

If so has he held since being bullish at 260 ish and has he averaged down for the imminent takeover ever since, I didn't get an answer a few weeks ago when I raised it but I think it's important to understand whether the story has sufficient credibility for the story teller to put his money where his mouth is ?

100% chance it will go back up eventually for that reason but the sell off has only just started. What will the sp be when the ftse is around 6000. Higher or lower ?

I don't believe that the back story is as far forward as some would have you believe, I don't profess to know what's going on in the background but shorts are increasing and the shareprice is still falling is normally a tell tell sign (albeit not always).

I think I have a very different view on where the markets are heading than most on here. I've been selling longs and increasing shorts on this BS. It's a sign of panic - why ??? Trump wants the market up, the greedy traders want the party to continue - the fat lady is certainly out of her dressing gown IMO. I'm not all in but I'm happy to be mainly out of shares again.. Not sure if that helps - I still hold metro (less than 20% of where I was) and will add incrementally but I'm in no hurry at FTSE 6750
