Old school investors don’t short markets and scalp daily on lots of good sized bets and small percentage gains.

agree, it's a complete sh(1)t show.
can anyone explain to me why the markets are feeling as bullish as they are ?
I understand liquidity and QE and interest rates at all time lows but what are people spending their money on ?
I was bullish at 5000, not at 6000 a few weeks later when the worst of the commercial side of things is not even starting to show ?!

it will also be possible to meet up to four friends (counts you out Cud) and family from other households outdoors whilst maintaining strict social distancing

If my sources are correct then that's it for phase 1 from 18th May to 8th June.

no probs, it's very similar risk/reward to Metro.
Commercially not good at all at the moment - even worse than the majority of their peers in their respective bombed out sectors.
Both too attractive for lots of reasons to let die though so at some point there will be a bounce. I'm not convinced that there is much boardroom discussion on takeovers at the moment so feel that I can be patient for a little longer. TWT.

I agree with your thinking that there are too many shares in the system at the moment, I've been watching to see if it will stabilise. I thought it had at 50p but it didn't hold for long enough and didn't seem to want to properly bounce.
My concerns are that the markets are pricing in a better new normal than I think we're going to have. I've seen what I was told are Govt proposals but am unable to verify them. 4 stages of reducing lockdown until the end of July. I'm nearly out of everything again and have been opening and closing shorts on volatility. Even sold a few Reabold this morning. If what I've seen is right (and we'll probably know for sure on Sunday) then I see no reason to rush to buy anything at the moment.

AML main customer base are generally in the more at risk end of the covid spectrum and won't be buying new cars for most of this year. The numbers and the cash burn won't therefore look good until that starts to change.

On a holistic market view, neither the UK or the US are pricing in a second wave of this which may be too optimistic IMO.

there is no news, what they have provided is disappointing.

they are fundamentally in business to charge more interest on loans than they pay out on deposits.

customer care, doggy biscuits opening on Sundays and somewhere to store your tiara's is nice but it doesn't and won't make the share price fly. They need to sell more widgets at a profit i.e. more than it costs to make the widgets.

if they need to fund raise to buy some more factories to make more widgets thats fine providing the business model allows the new factories to make a profit on their widgets.

with all of their increased costs, it's obvious to everyone who understands this stuff that they spend too much on overheads so can't make a profit on their widgets.

If it were any different they would have focused on trying to get that message across rather than a bare bones RNS which effectively shows less income

despite a huge marketing campaign in Q1 to try and change things it obviously hasn't worked so Q2 will be a disaster...

We bought a new photocopier and are catching up with our emails - that should keep the markets happy after all of the downgrades.
