bought 19 cyclicals early this week and increased on the drops - usual suspects

reduced today and now shorting FTSE/S&P again - Long Vix - election/apple and amazon could make for a bumpy ride over the next two weeks. Brexit may continue the lift from 5750, but not for long if the US drags us down.

most are just knife catchers albeit a few stuck long termers - one or two short and one or two paid to create mischief from time to time. I'm a wounded trader of this cr@p still trying to get back to breakeven. Was only in a day a couple of weeks ago so i'll get there ------- E V E N T U A L L Y.

More punters will come in and try and ramp it back up because it's dropped so much, then they'll realise it's a basket case and they'll leave - rinse and repeat until something dramatic changes.

We’ve lent some money because the government asked us to, apart from that nothing really reported and certainly nothing positive. As usual it just raises more questions about their ability to earn more than they spend and confirms that they’re waiting in limbo to see if they need to raise more cash ?!

And he’ll still probably wonder why his £500k is worth around half...

BH, I understand the game and am just highlighting the inaccuracies of the reporting on it.

It can influence decisions. Persi and his mates aren't moving this around, I've traded it for months too, Since the big sell off in March I've retained a few million as a base but have tinkered around the edges. This is different, this is a determined strategic seller who isn't interested in the company or its prospects.

The reason I will keep adding is that once he/they go, pretty much all that will be left will be buyers... TWT..!

not sure why, if it creates a bit of unease and one or two more decide to sell and drop the price I'm happy to keep topping up..

I have been, reducing index shorts and buying lots of cheap cyclicals/topping up here.

easiest trading ever, wait for markets to get towards the top of the trading range sell almost everything and go short indices, reduce shorts then buy on the dips. Not rocket at the moment, it was obvious these would drift again on no news and a numpty seller.

think we have a balanced board here, time will tell whether the bulls or bears are more right than wrong

based on what little I know about oily widgets, I think there is a 100% upside from here if things turn out positively and a 30-40% downside if it's a bit worse than base case. No clue about the pictures, but I like the odds..

Widgets or oil, it's fundamentally about understanding risk and reward. Trying to buy assets where the balance of risk is slightly in your favour, and tolerance for losses when you get it wrong ?!

having O&G experts on here is obviously very useful, but you also need commercial brains to see the wood for the trees.

that would be market manipulation if they agreed to hold the price over several days of trading - try and buy a few million -see what price you get offered. Ask your broker if they'll fix it at the same level until Friday ?!
