What is your motivation to post something like that? Pure smugness? So you wait for a day to come where it drops that justifies you selling it and after a couple of months you say to yourself “now’s my time I’ll post this now to show everyone I was right to sell!” Some weird people on here.

This share price is way way undervalued there is a lot of doom and gloom on here but the reality is the company hold a lot of stock and the market is expected to recover significantly so costs are going to be down and revenue up for the second part of 2024 which will translate to a decent recovery in profits. I wish I could buy in at these prices my average is around 20p but there is money to be made here for sure for anyone with patience and the ability to ignore the doom merchants on here.

Just an FYI when you use silly sound bites like “lunatic leftie” and “red Ed” you just detract away from some of the valid points you make and make yourself sound foolish.

At some point the politicians will be forced to backtrack when they realise that killing this industry is not a good idea for fuel security. End of of discussion. No way are those tax levels sustainable I am certain they will backtrack what I am uncertain of is how long it will take. However at this price this is a steal and if you are patient you will make a packet on Serica. A director purchase like this shows confidence in the long term despite the challenges. I share that view.

You don’t think 9% instant return is good? Ok. Mostly shares tend to rise prior to a divi payment like this I’m just saying it’s surprising this hasn’t. I can’t see anything to suggest there won’t be divi payments going forward. The board are making all the right noises and I expect two things to happen I. The next couple of years. Investments outside of the North Sea and a backtracking from the labour government when in office both leading to a rise in this ridiculously undervalued share price. Long term hold and patience will reward here.

I’m holding but my gosh this is proving unpredictable. Nobody seems interested in the 9% payout tomorrow. Hopefully everyone still here won’t be bailing tomorrow or this could be a horror show. I think everyone is over reacting to be honest the share price is becoming ridiculously underpriced but yeah I think it’s going to fall further tomorrow hopefully it’ll recover

Come on guys it’s not rocket science here. The whole country has been paying massive energy bills and the oil companies have taken the blame in the media. These are easy votes to mop up. When Labour gets in the reality will be that they can’t and won’t kill the oil industry and they will back pedal. By then the focus will be on interest rates coming down and the fickle public will have forgotten all about the nasty naughty oil companies.

It was a great day I bought loads of Serica shares at a ridiculously low price. Bought more this morning but I’m running hour of other shares I want to sell to raise funds. I’m well over weight with SQZ now but surely a pre divi rise is inevitable the only way I will sell some now is if we don’t get a rise pre divi as it sure help will drop after. I intend to carry a lot of these shares around 15% of my portfolio for at least 2 years. This is an absolute bargain price.

This price is irrational - Money to be made by the patient. I'm loading up and will hold now for at least 2 years regardless of what happens to the price. This is a ridiculously low price point for entry.

Nothing yet for me either but I’m with Freetrade. Brilliant value for trading but tend to take their time with dividends god knows how they will handle a “special distribution”

And just before a very large dividend ex div day too. I’m bamboozled with this stock . They are sitting on a fortune massively cash rich and yet the share price is crazy crazy low and still falling. Madness.

Maybe someone who wants a 10% divi in a few weeks? Or someone who wants to buy a company sitting on a pile of cash that is massively undervalued?

Who is selling this it’s madness theirs is an almost 10% divi in a few weeks.

Looks like everyone else also thinks its ex div today too - maybe it is - Usually ex div is working day before the record date though which is today.

That’s what I thought too but it isn’t the ex div day is always before the record date so it’s actually today. If you buy today you won’t get it for those shares.

Looks like I’ve got myself in a right mixup with all of this. Apparently the ex div date is today not Tuesday as Tuesday is the record date. So basically it’s very good news because the price is still rising and today is the ex div.
