They aren't going to attack the UK with tanks and planes don't be ridiculous. This whole thing is actually about supplying Europe with oil. The EU is the biggest importer of oil and gas in the world. The Russian and Iranians want to build a pipeline from Iran to europe. Ukraine is key in that plan. The Americans and Saudis also want to build a pipeline to Europe from Qatar and key in that plan was Syria. That regime change didn't work out for us and Iran and Russia were key in stopping that happening. Now the situation is reversed in Ukraine. Putin is not trying to conquer Europe he just wants to control the energy supply and not allow the Americans and Saudis to get there first.

If you have too much riding in this wait for 140 mark and reduce a bit. Then buy more if it falls again. Repeat.

What so you think that a takeover with many parties interested is all going to be announced and sorted out after a weekend? You actually think that this deal is going to be announced after a quick cup of tea and a chat? They arent buying a fuking car on eabay its probably going to take a lot of working out especially as its likely to only be certain parts of the company for sale. Its a complicated deal with many parties intersted and the share price is all over the place so negotiations are going to be tricky. Hold tight stop panicking and wait for news. These fluctuations are not unexpected at all. Especailly in the current market. Theres lots of uncertainty but selling share at these lows means you are certain of the absolute worst. Why would you be?

I'm holding this and will hopefully sell at a decent profit .......In May earliest. If you want to make a quick buck this isnt your share but it will go up. It will take time. The idiots on here are talkign utter bullsht

Bristolbooby I have no interest in convincing you or anyone else in doing anything. That's your decision. If you have no interest in this share my siggestion would be to find a board for a share you are interested in. Going to message boards to be convinced on whether or not to buy a share is probably not the best strategy you could adopt. It can be useful to hear from others who hold the stock about recent news you may have missed but you do have to ignore the idiots on there just trying to scare everyone into selling low.

Still I think I may hang on to my shares a bit longer. Maybe I'm foolish but I have an overwhelming foolish feeling that a massively undervalued and over shorted stock with many PE firms involved in takeover discussions and a CEO that has made it clear he wants to go private is probably going to increase in share price quite significantly very soon.

Really I do appreciate it. Very good of you. Many may think you must have some interest in the share to spend time posting negative comments on a share you have haven't bought. Perhaps because you have a vested interest in people selling their shares but that is so cynical. If that's what this conflict was about you would be right but it isn't. Putin is being depicted as the aggressor here. He isn't. He understandably doesn't want mato to have bases at Russians border. He has repeatedly said that nato moving eastwards is perceived as a threat to Russia. Ukraine has been making it very clear it want a to join Nato. This is an act of aggression. Nato will confirm that Ukraine will not join Nato. Russia pulls out the troops and goes home. End of conflict.

I'm not touching any investments now until at least April. Markets are all over the place. When you have no idea what is a good decision or a bad decision becuase markets are randomly flapping around the best decision is do nothing and wait for some sense to return. Stop losses and selling stocks may end up being the right thing to do with hindsight but hindsight we dont have until the panicking stops.

Stockbroker belt. If you honestly think we believe that you are taking the time to post in this particular board even though you have no interest or investment at all in the thg share price then you are deluded.

I could live with 300p. I would be ecstatic with more but happy with 300p.

Birch - No Most of the people who arent bullish on THG arent teh same person but most of them arent posting on a board dedicated to THG share price unless they are shorting the stock in which case they have a lot to gain by talking **** and trying to scare people into selling. What possible other reason is there to be on this board if you arent bullish on THG?

I never take any forecasts without a massive dose of salt. They very rarely predict anything. This has been proved time and time again with backtesting. Obvioulsy I will be over the moon if they come true but what I'm saying is even with more sober expectations this stock is a rational choice. Its very sinister the united front in the press and the market against this share. I havent seen one article that has a grain of sense within it. I had respect for investors chronicle until I read their recent piece about "even the directors are joining the sell off". Come on man. Do some research and have a little balance. The share price had obvioulsy hit a lower limit for whatever financial instrument it was acting as securty for. A price they never would have thought it would hit. Anyway I have lost a lot of faith in our press and merely had my lack of respect concerned for the city dogs.

Funny. Im pretty balanced in my view. I dont think THG is the next Amazon. I dont think its going to explode either. I do think its massively underpriced and as such is bound to go private with PE. We havent heard anything because there is porbably interest form many firsm which we do know as a fact only form the firms that have been reported to be interested (theres bound to be other in the shadows). MM has made it clear he wants to take this private and there is confirmed interest from several PE and the price is clearly under the value. That makes for a good investment. I'll hold for as long as is needed even if its 6 months with no news. I'm not going to double my money. I dont expect to but I am going to make a tidy 30%+ on my investement at least. Nothing these idots are saying is going to change that.
