Oops! 😳 Quite right Crawshaw , Apologies. There is another broker with a very similar name, which is why I usually use all four initials. I don’t know if there is still a UK branch but because of my residency when I applied they attached me to the Dublin branch perhaps it is more limited in the shares it deals in? I have a lot of holdings that are in SETSQX and these are the ones that they only trade in the 10 minute intervals I don’t know if the UK branch is the same.

Crawshaw - Thank you. My broker is IBKR their Dublin office. I am resident in France. interactive brokers also sounds familiar. I don’t know if that was one I tried. I’ll have to look back. Will have a look but thank you for the suggestion.

Finally! Had a chat to the broker help which was very helpful. IBKR. Followed their advice and the rest of the order went through at the last auction time – 2 pm UK time. Rest of the order went through at 32.2p. Will probably show up as a sale And possibly as part of a bigger UT trade. 😊.

Crawshaw - if you can suggest a broker who will trade on the Lse in GBP for non-UK residents without doing continuous currency conversions, I will be more than happy to have a look. I spent some time looking for a broker before I opened up this account and even went through the process of registering with one or two until all of a sudden there was a problem For them with residency or currency. 😕

I have had an order in since yesterday‘s close trying to buy. My broker only trades the share ( and many others) at the 10 minute auction times. A small number went through this morning, but I keep having to chase the price – increase the price which reduces the number of shares I can buy. It’s very frustrating. Wish me luck guys. GLA.

. I currently have holdings in two companies (Panthera and pantheon) which account for over 50% of my portfolio. If neither of those companies develop as promised, then I will seriously have to rethink what I am doing .

I’m glad you managed to find a profitable way. I will give it a bit longer and see how it goes.

Thank you for that very reasoned explanation and information and links. My problem is I am in a hurry. When I opened the broker account in March 23, it was with the intention of buying shares in reliable dividend payers – I had money sitting in a uk bank account receiving very little interest. Being resident in Europe I was unable to open a better paying account or get advice from a UK based company so I decided to open a broker account. Even that proved difficult with my combination of being non-UK resident but wanting to trade in GBP So as to leave the money in the UK for family beneficiaries. eventually, I was able to open an account with IBKR who have a broker in Dublin. During the process of finding a broker, I became interested in all the chatter on the Lse site and started looking for other investment opportunities. The rest is history.

I now have a portfolio of holdings in 30+ companies most of which are in the red! However, this is a hobby for me now and I have enjoyed it but I also would like to make a success of it which it is not at the moment.

The majority of the companies that I have invested in seem to be mining companies and aim companies. They are also companies that IBKR will only trade during the daytime 10 minute intervals. This is very limiting re-price selection when placing an order.

Getting back to jog, If I had other holdings which were in enough profit to realise some I may well have invested more in jog rather than selling half. My average was 194. selling half has reduced the average to 144 as it is being calculated less some of my earliest Purchase at 2.45!

I have no prior knowledge of most of the companies that I have invested in. I do a limited amount of research relying heavily on RNss and also some of the very Knowledgeable and helpful Lse board members. obviously trying to avoid the trolls and pumping (I seem to be very good at buying in at high prices but trying to learn)

Apologies for this message which seems to have got very long and may not be of much interest To most people.

Thanks for the advice! 😕. I am holding onto 50% for the moment. I don’t believe I have time to wait for a change of Government. What are the chances of this government having a change of heart in the near future?

JOG was one of my first purchases in April last year when I Opened a trading account.Paid 2.45. Reduced that to an average of 1.94 in August this year. so, 66% down. Getting very nervous about holding this and losing the lot. So I’m going to sell half. There are other opportunities out there. What a shame I am investing in other O&Gcompanies in other parts of the world when I could be holding my investment here in a UK company!

Just got around to viewing the September presentation. Very impressed. Love the drive and enthusiasm. saving waste and selling good brands at massive discounts, what a strategy!

I can see that price again now but the 1.1 million has disappeared again!

I noticed this morning that it had to reduced to 1.1m but my view of L2 is limited and I cannot see that price at the moment. I think sirmark can see more.

The 1.3 million buy order at 22.95 has reappeared. What is happening there?

Is that 1.3 million buy waiting forcing the price down?

My holding is finally in profit , £ 1K + and 3.6%.! Long may it last 😊 GLA.
