Scaremongering, we're down c80% YTD and c60% this week.
The 'doom' has already happened - i thought the board had rid itself of most the stink when MrP stopped lying to people.
Majority (all?) of that cash is tied to the 2019 drills, isn't it? Assume some of the more risk averse/pessimistic speculators will be pricing the cost of drilling into their valuations.
I think i'm going to hold (at a considerable loss) and assume this speculation has failed - that way i can only be surprised if/when MATD breaks their duck.
Someone go get MrP so we can all be told how this is about to take off, there's no time, we're all going to miss out...
A broken clock and all that...
Glad I've generally avoided this place recently, looks like you've swapped roles with Mr.P.
Both very dangerous posters for the average investor to consume. I'll reinforce gatto's remarks...
MATD has funds until the end of next drilling season.. although at current rate, MB may stretch these next 5 drills past 2025. ;)
Anyone who thinks a company with essentially 12-18 months cash flow, with no guarantee that they have found commercial sustainability (i.e. oil) absolutely wouldn't consider raising additional funds, i think is at best, misguided.
I hope this isn't yet another delay/change to the 2018 plan.
Indeed we have come along way, i haven't seen a "this is about to rocket... 30p by tomorrow... everyone's going to miss out..." for a good few days. ;)
"Make a loss today" - were you planning on selling up before an operational RNS?
There's has been scarce profits to be made on MATD since spud, unless shorting.
I think that's somewhat unfair, although funding aside, it's not exactly been plain sailing since he took the helm.
The growing niggle for me is the constant missing of target dates across operations - there's some combination of poor planning, poor forecasting and lack of experience/capability. Fortunately none of that ultimately changes whether Mongolia has oil.
P.S Wonder what all the 'savvy' investors buying in yesterday @ 8.5 feel like today?
At a very quick glance, 80% of trades today are >£1k.
What are you trying to nudge people into believing is happening?
Tend to agree, there's been 3 transactions over £10k today - doesn't look like any serious volume of cash is flowing in.
Since the second placing is has often felt like fool me once... holding for RNS facts over speculation here still.
"I wonder how many people have based their investments on information provided for entertainment purposes..."
Being needlessly picky; that's somewhat of a catch-all regulatory statement to cover anyone who doesn't have the relevant qualifications to provide financial advice. It doesn't always mean the content provided alongside that statement is inaccurate or made up.
P's posts quoting drill speeds or analyst ratings are of great value within the context of this BB.
However his volumes of musings, often written as if fact, are probably one of the closest to "information that is false or misleading" of any of the members commenting on MATD.
If he followed his own advice he'd be so deep in the hole, Phileas Fog would be impressed!
For your demo, 105 shares of MATD @ 9.5p = £997.50
If you were to exit as a 'ten bagger' you'd sell your 105 share stake for c£9,997.50
Apologies, the original point has been lost in the moderator clean up, i think it was that de-rampers cannot manipulate a SP, especially long term.
From memory the analyst quoted previously on here had our potential risked valuation is around 62p (de-risked was >£2.50). Lets hope we get multiple strikes.
It's an example of compound interest any applies equally to any almost any investment.
I think the point is, that the (potential) rise is ultimately based on fundamentals. You've plucked a range of rises without any context.
The SP is much more open to fluctuation during this period of exploration, however you would expect the range to become much narrower once oil has been found - i.e. it will be easier to put an intrinsic value on the company and therefore the SP. Speed of rise shouldn't ultimately play a factor in where this price ends up, quantity of oil, will.
Ironically, reading doesn't appear to be your strong point - why didn't you top up at 7,5p?
Until there is news, garcy & stuart are spot on, there is very little likelihood that the market has suddenly reversed it's sentiment on MATD.
I'd be cautious buying now, if one's viewpoint is short term...
I was responding to fund's equally binary opinion.
I'm not particularly interested by these fluctuations in the absence of any updates - its (generally) all speculation, we're still well below second placing price yet still looking great value against the potential upside.
