HL will not allow me to place a sell fill or kill, since it is technically still suspended. I had a 90 day pending on Wood which remained in place through the suspension until it expired. They would not let me reinstate it. I wrote

I had a pending order on WG. although it was suspended, however my order expired after 90 days. Although not currently listed, I should still be able to replace the sell order (sell fill or kill) if it reaches a certain price as before, in case there is rapid movement when it is relisted.

They replied this morning:

Good morning thank you for contacting us.

Unfortunately you are unable to place any instructions on a suspended stock.

We apologise for the inconvenience.

Well no it certainly wasn't any assistance! Now I must be up and fuelled with coffee at opening, and I bet I will not be able to get a quote if I try until the dust settles.

I have never been a day trader in 50 years of investing, yet I bought and sold more tranches of Wood this Jan-April than the rest of my portfolio put together. Averaging down (aka catching a falling knife) and cashing in a bit on mini peaks. Thus I dragged my average down to 44.46p from dizzying heights. I imagine I will certainly make a loss, but not as bad as it might have been if I had sat on my hands.

Say no to 30p and Sid will walk away, but only just round the corner. They have already slyly dropped from 35p. Say no, then watch them pick Wood up for 0p, but with a sweetener for the employees (many of them are also shareholders, so got to keep them sweet)

If its a play, then surely a tragedy. As in Macbeth, it's the shareholders that have been murdered, as well as the company, workers and all.

Either way it is an absolute disgrace that the bod have the nerve to ask for a vote without sight of accounts Not even an explanation for such a delay. Apart from us PIs and institutions, think of the losses incurred by their employees. Absolutely brazen.

In a court of law "Do nothing" without qualification IS finacial advice, regardless of interpretation. If it is only in relation to Sidara's then unofficial offer of 35p then what COULD a PI do? Nothing, other than sell, hold or buy. So a claim that the advice to do nothing caused financial loss, it would have to be tested. A class action would have clout. Readers can form their own opinion on our differing views in tge end we'll see anyway.

Kando. I disagree. "Do nothing or don't do anything" to a PI cannot mean anything other than "Do not sell" when you say "it is only in relation to Sidara" this us clearly not the case sine there is nothing a PI COULD do in that regard. No I feel that repeated comment which became absurd once trading ceased, did ibdeed imply "Hold on, we've got this" as you so succinctly put it . But it is a matter of interpretation of course.

I would have liked him to say something. The unapologetic BOD need a public dressing down.
