The cash position is not as good as the resident rampers try to portray - the phrase "Build and Buy" leaves the door open to buying more acquisitions with resources that will keep shrinking until free cash flow is generated by the Lab or some upfront cash comes from a deal.

And let us not forget that Russia, Turkey, India, and China have been trying to decouple from King $ but do not want each other's money. What is Ruzzia going to do with all those Rupees from selling the Indians cheap oil...

Or you could say that the POG is too high as it is being driven by Central Bank buying by countries that have debt problems.

Would you be an investor in Russia, Turkey, India, or China? If they have been driving prices up, what happens when they stop buying and then become sellers? If that were to happen, and it were to coincide with more production coming on stream, then prices could collapse.

Interesting Bloomberg article; they say that US GOV is about to go on a borrowing spree and will borrow around $1 trillion by the end of September. That is a big drain on liquidity in the wider market; just when some banks have been having questionable reserves.

So to borrow so much more they will have to offer decent rates, which will even further damage the assets that would be in a loss position if 'mark to market' rules were applied. A vicious circle where the snake is eating its own tail.
