The drum is only being drummed harder as each day that goes by equals more cash out of the door. Remember, they are burning around £2m a year and started the year with a little over £1m and raised about £1.2 net of costs. With the tax credits the reserves stretch to £2.5m so cash on hand is likely to be less than £1m in a couple of months time.

And, they raise cash the last time the £1m cash on hand was tested in Jan. A placing could be much sooner than people like PM try and suggest. And when people keep posting that there is cash until the middle of next year, other people will post the counter argument.

Political unrest - the pot is warming up... There are national elections next year and the ANC are looking vulnerable to both the EFF {Economic Freedom Fighters who seem keen on nationalising stuff and confiscating stuff from the Whites} and other opposition parties. The weakness must make Ramaphosa vulnerable, and Zuma is due to be in court again over corrupt arms contracts years ago. Expect the Zuma faction to be looking to upend Ramaphosa and get one of their own in power, even if it means teaming up with the EFF.

Whoever gets power next year can take the hard and unpopular choices and tackle corruption and general incompetent state waste or turn a blind eye, clear their comrades of any legal woes [Zuma will be happy] and get in on the act of enriching themselves. The good half of the ANC might prevail and share power with more democratic parties, but an alliance between Zuma and the EFF looks more likely and that could be a fatal blow to ZA; I certainly would not want to be a shareholder in any miner there over the election period.

Another bit of media exposure for Fervo... they are horizontal drilling and fracking for geothermal; it enables them to use less permeable rocks and still generate a large geothermal footprint. Areas previously unsuited to geothermal are much more viable with these techniques.

I think there is a lot of promise for baseload energy here; it should also be easier to sell to the public as the facilities will last decades after they have been set up without needing repeated fracking, unlike an oil / gas field. There has been suggestions that these new techniques may be best used around existing coal power stations to give new life to parts of the existing infrastructure.
