I have been on 'strike' since resigning from the Civil Service in 2014; a Labour GOV might encourage me to do some work again, as I really do not want to pay taxes under this GOV. I expect that this feeling of mine may be widely felt and that there will be more rejoining the workplace and, more importantly, a change in attitude for the better by the wider public workforce who will feel that their political masters value them more.

To make it worse, not only have taxes increased through inflation outstripping changes in personal allowances, but inflation impacts the poorer more as they spend more of their income on food and energy which have gone up by more than inflation.

It is not a laughing matter.... And all these "illegals"? Why does GOV not prosecute them instead of putting them up in hotels? I thought Cruella was supposed to be "touch on crime"? The CONservatives are lying to the public.

Remember 2 things though:

Firstly, the CONservatives "took back control" and imposed trade barriers with Europe that have done fatal damage to the UK's fishing industry, which in turn have further damaged already dire coastal towns;

Second - it is not illegal to claim asylum. The CONservatives may repeat it so many times that you believe it, but it remains just another lie. If they wanted to deal with the costs of asylum claimants, they could process the claims. Instead, they want hundreds of thousands of non-working asylum claimants placed in the poorest communities in the UK as an election asset. If they actually processed the claimants, then they would be deported or granted leave to remain and allowed to work, and the problem would significantly reduce, but that outcome would not win the xenophobic vote they are courting.
