Interferons are natural products and therefore are not as such patentable ....

Sng have a patent for a method of usage or specific formulation of inf beta 1a & 1b that is covered by their patent so that cannot be copied but
Others have a different formula etc

It seems that it's the Amiens hospital that is sponsoring this clinical trial and not a biotech company ...it would be surprising if they did'nt do the research on the patent situation before going ahead ...
Don't know if they are breaching the SNG patent or not ...

We should be asking ourselves two questions imv

1) Who is buying the blocks from Acacia ?

2) As it's not Acacia that is selling really, who is ?

No matter what people say, Acacia seem to be selling only when they have someone ready to buy in chunks of 1million shares or multiples of that

In the last month they have only done two sales imo
One for 2 million and one for 1 million

The hospital readout will be a success or a failure or inconclusive :-)
But we should'nt forget that the clinical trial includes the home and hospital patients so all in all we will still have to wait until all the results are in to find out if the trial meets it's primary endpoints or not ...but
I think we need good hospital patient readouts to get the focus put on SNG001 or else many people may just move on and forget about SNG

If results are non conclusive well then at my current level of investment I will lose a major part of my capital invested , no doubt in my mind about that but it won't be too harmful to my portfolio as the potential loss is already compensated by my investments elsewhere

Most people don't understand That it's better to average up than average down

Here for example we have a 70p resistance level which is well marked ...

I would prefer to double up my stake after that resistance level is broken and confirmed so let's say I will double up at 75p
If my current average is 45p after my doubling up , my new average will be 60p ( well below the new support level of 70p ) so I am zen and my capital is relatively protected for the LT

I have always given my position on here before buying or selling

To restate again ... Even if the SP goes to 29p I won't be buying anything until after results ... if the price goes up to 60p before results , i won't be selling anything .....
I am happy with my position here at this stage , but I will be buying more if the results are conclusive...

As you know the market is sometimes completely irrational ....

What I can talk about is my personal strategy but that won't help anyone as everyone has their own interests :-)

RIchard has always stated that the treatment is the same for COPD as with Covid

On clinical trials website we see a discrepancy which we cannot explain ...

We know that both trials are set up for once a day treatment but as this is an inhaled treatment and not a tablet well we can only speculate about the discrepancy....

Would it be stupid to say that one could inhale 6ml for 10 minutes instead of 12ml for 5 minutes ??

I have however asked the question if the COvid patient at baseline is the same as the COPD patient at baseline ...

Timing of treatment is essentiel to the dosing imo ....

Like the patient with the headache if you give him the paracetamol tablet early enough it just might not turn into a migraine....

Well I would if I had nothing else to offer but I don't believe it would be very effective

Now it could be said that if you treated someone early on with a headache then it might not blow into a full scale migraine :-)

Anyway we will just have to rely on the experts as they never get it wrong :-)

The simple fact is that the dosage level is the same for COPD patients and Covid patients
As many scientific papers have pointed out, covid 19 hampers the immune system response by blocking inf stimulation...

Just saying that Synairgen should know more than anyone is of course a way out of answering the question because as we know they had'nt any other choice but to go with the dosage level they had already tested with ( for safety and regulatory reasons because changing the dosing levels would have delayed the whole process )
If they had the choice , would they have gone with the same dosage levels ??
We should be able to ask ourselves questions like this without being brushed off with ´ the professionals know best ´ imv

Comparing dosage levels of interferon beta and alpha is a waste of time and has no scientific basis ....

We may compare the dosing levels required for IV , SC or inhaled with interferon beta 1a if you wish or like myself ask oneself if the dosing levels should be the same for SNG001 in COPD patients as with Covid patients ?

Tougher questions which only the results may or may not answer
