It's interesting about the dosing increase and I am slightly perplexed as to what they can mean.

The original 0.5-5mg/kg trial had dosing of "VAL201 administered subcutaneously on Days 1, 8, 15 of a
3-week cycle, for up to 6 cycles. Dose escalation from 0.5 mg/kg to 5.0mg/kg over 5 dose levels"

For the trial that followed this, with 16mg/kg dosing an 80kg man would be dosed with 1.3g of peptide (I'm not clear how regularly, but I thought I heard more regular dosing).

I believe the half life pharmacokinetics was in the region of hours, with possible clinical data suggesting it remained binded to the SRC-SH3 domain for longer than expected. For some reason I find it difficult to consider dosing at 32mg/kg, so I am inclined to guess they are talking about more regular dosing at 16mg or the 301 pill format....?

Christ though, please partner up, I can't face another year extension of reading equity RNS and Roses aimlessly campaigning to send the company into admin because he's been paid to achieve an 'outcome' for his masters.

Btw, Morris has been talking about the 201/301 pill format for a good 3 years now, hasn't he? Wonder if he has pulled something out of the hat there.

That's two big names from UCL Now, clearly must be showing better efficacy or ethical approval wouldn't have approved it

But who is paying for the additional trials now? It'll be a considerable sum, JV or shares? Interesting times but a few details need to be added.

Marmited, against my better judgement I have restored a small bet, to cover my losses just in case they pull this out of the bag. I feel like I'm throwing it away, but alas it is only money I can afford to lose. I would only spend it on wine and Mrs Noise otherwise and have little to show for it.....

Uncanny, you'd have thought they were using the EHGO deal as leverage to get a better deal, so if they are exiting from the EHGO deal you are right it would seem they are doing something.

It all smells like they're tidying up the loose ends before something happens, the market is pricing in failure/admin, but have they lined up a cheeky offer to take the IP? Otherwise, why bother with the IP purchase and the EHGO deal at all... EHGO and Satu must have known what the likely outcomes were beforehand? It's not like Satu can change her mind that suddenly she doesn't want any more money.

Anyway....I sold this morning. I cannot be bothered anymore. If I come to regret it...at least I can then a chuckle at what could have been.

I may hang around for a bit and make sensible comments if I see anything interesting.

Stach, from vague recollection Valirx had a range of home-testing Chlymydia kits in the 2000s, I want to say it was called ValiMedix and part of the Finnish side of Valirx's business, I think it was sold profitably but not for huge sums.

Valirx accounts (EOY) "2018 Provision for bad debt (506,755)"
Valiseek accounts (EOY) "Dec 2017 the amount due to Valirx included its creditors was £207k" (~374k due within 1 year)

Roses...agreed this is very odd. A few weeks ago they said they had written off a bad debt (they had loaned Valiseek money for some time). Valiseek is one of the obvious assets they could have sold, have they sold Valiseek for the same value of the bad debt? Seems a very smoke and mirrors way of going about it.

But if they were preparing for a pre-pack admin, why are they bothering to buy IP from other cos? It makes no logical sense and the RNS have not really laid out the strategy here.

Odd...I hadn't realised FIT biotech had already completed a Phase 1 clinical trial on HIV with what appears moderate levels of success (clearly not 100% viral reduction by the looks, but a start, I'm not sure I understand what 0.5 log reduction in viral load means?).

I noticed Imperial College ran the Phase 1 testing, from recollection Satu took her MBA @ Imperial College, so perhaps that's another link.

I'm yet to see what the FIT Biotech link is, I assume it's related to VAL101 delivery vectors, or perhaps with the Finland connections it was just part of the deal that EHGO wanted to continue their work with Valirx instead of FIT.

I am assuming that is several years until that technology is commercialised (if ever), so I'm not getting excited about it until someone tells me the magical connection. I recall reading an article that FIT biotech were trying to create a dosing regime that would inject a minor amount of drug, that would behave like a virus and replicate to a higher dosing within the human body (resulting in lower cost drugs). How that links to VAL I have no idea...unless it was considered a more viable method of dosing with 101 (we did have commercial viability problems with 101 a couple of years back).

Anyway...entirely my ramblings on a topic I seriously do not understand.

Has anyone found any interesting technical around Valirx recently?

Is it worth browsing the patent filings to see if there's any interesting background on there? I thought the 201 and 401 patents were quite interesting to read, if you are very bored....
