The RNS was rather inevitable, it likely means VAL have processed the VAL201 results, they've prepared the brokers and presentations, now we just need to look under the hood at the data and decide if we like what we see.

If the results are good, it'll make a massive trading opportunity, if nothing else.

What's reasonable these days? £20m MCAP for starters if patients continue to average a 40% PSA drop?

I was sent some photos of the presentation from last night. There was no new PSA data (4mg data only, from recollection George showed some 5mg graphs last December), but colleague said he enjoyed it and Satu gave a good speech. I think majority of the crowd were mining resources people looking a bit baffled by biotech science. Apparently some line about partners reviewing what next indications (beyond prostate) should be tested next for 201.

Oh...is anyone going tonight? Unfortunately I cannot attend. A couple of co-conspirators are heading down. Am not expecting fireworks, but sparklers would be nice.

ValiSeek, the VAL joint venture company for the VAL401 programme, has been seeking partners to progress the drug into late-stage development and has agreed Letters of Intent with two international partners (from the US and from Europe) to co-finance it.

Next steps
A proposed late-stage trial in ca.200 NSCLC patients with and without standard-ofcare will be run by ValiSeek and its new partners. The CTA is expected to be submitted to the regulators before the end of the year, with a possible start in 2020.

Not tempted by buying US shares?

I kinda wish it was slightly easier, automated perhaps, to buy US shares without having to fill in the US tax form. OK it's mostly a mental barrier in my mind, but if it could automatically connect to my ISA details?

To connect the dots, I googled Valirx and the town name, it looks like Valipharma has always been registered here and presume it is because Gerry Desler (company secretary) lives nearby, he may even own the building.

Gild, from recollection I think the initial lab work thought 5mg/kg would be enough.

I think it's to do with how the body filters/stores the 201 compound, as the half life is in the region of hours within the body. We have no info on 8/16mg, but I think it's to do with having multiple injections in a short period of time, rather than 5mg weekly, which I think was what the earlier tests set out to monitor.

The official trial record has been extended to December 2019.

I am also assuming that 401 has been parked indefinitely, cause I have no idea what's going on there and I was never massively fond of the concept (the discovery method was pretty neat though).
